So back to the normal posts.

Thank you for all the advice. I haven't mentioned the trip with school again to DS. I haven't however told school he can't go yet. That doesn't mean I'm sending him. That just means I haven't closed the door on it.

I have been out all day at school and some appointments, youngest is struggling with yet another chest infection that just makes everything a little more miserable and a lot less sleep. Instead of meds at 1am and 2am its pretty much hourly through the night right now. Exhausting. We are hoping to stay home. The community nurses have seen her today and so has the GP fingers crossed we can just maintain it at home.

The weather is horrid. It's cold and foggy and now wet too!

We are getting into the swing of Xmas however. We have made more decorations, I've watched one of their nativities and a carol concert and it's still pretty full on at school tomorrow and Friday. They are all so excited to finish school and for Xmas!

Hi WB :) For what it's worth, I genuinely don't think people are judging what you do. I think most of us are very concerned about you and the children and the circumstances you've found yourself in.

When loans are mentioned maybe people worry that you're only making things harder for yourself in the long run, but you and only you know the full picture and are living with the daily struggles and only you get the right to decide what path to go down that you think is right for you all as a family.

I can't even begin to imagine having to count slices of bread or worrying about getting DD to hospital vs. putting food on the table for you all. The choices are like some horrible "would you rather" game where none of the outcomes are good.

Finger crossed DD doesn't take a turn for the worse and you're able to stay out of hospital. I would love to see your house, it must be full of Christmas decorations!

Enjoy the rest of the week's events at school. This time next week it will all be over :)

How the hell anyone other than a complete idiot who (in my opinion) needs reporting, can possibly think having a carpet on the floor instead of nothing at all (other than cardboard) can count as an *expletive* luxury I have no idea. Any normal person who can READ and UNDERSTAND whats written and how stupidly hard you have things would very easily know that their second hand carpet would be a luxury for you. Again whoever it is, is an *expletive* idiot.

I do not think any normal person is judging you, In fact, more likely that any normal person is in awe of you and what you achieve xx

Sorry to hear little one has another infection, I hope that you do not need to have anything more than home visits until you have to start again after Christmas.

  • People who set up new accounts to send rude messages to others are trolls, pure and simple. Their purpose in life is to upset other people because they themselves are unhappy or they are just cruel people. I bet the rude message was a personal message because trolls aren't usually brave enough to post in an open forum. So ignore the troll.

You always make good decisions it seems to me.

I hope littlest DD gets over her chest infection.

Sorry greenbee I should have said the person who I've offended (I don't know who it's a new user with no posts and created last nigjt) messaged to say it's a kick in the teeth I'm taking a loan to spend on luxuries like carpets and sending a child on holiday.

I haven't got a loan and I just wanted to make sure I hadn't come across as this is what I wanted one for.

As soon as I'm home I'll reply to the posts from yesterday I just wanted to clear up any confusion x

That’s just rude. Ignore them, and continue to use your diary to work through ideas if it helps you.

    Thank you

Not going to let it worry me anymore. I receive far more helpful replies than negative. I should probably have just ignored it but I wanted to make sure I cleared up any confusion just in case.

Anyway back to a happier note. It's less than a week until xmas! It seems to be coming around too quick.

Youngest is awake. So I'm having a cuppa and going to do some bits from my to do list. We have things on at school tomorrow and it's a really busy day for DD she doesn't actually finish school until 7pm. Then Friday is party day and one needs sandwiches and one needs cakes. So will get on with making cakes tomorrow and obviously the sandwiches will be made Friday morning.

Hope you've all had a good day x

Finished the cleaning and ironing. Have wrote tomorrow's (todays ) to do list. Youngest is not asleep but is sat quietly now. Another cuppa is waiting.

Tomorrow I have the things at school but around those I want to try and do a meal plan. Hoping to get some of the really cheap vegetables in the supermarket wars so I can boil and freeze. Have lifted some things out for dinner tomorrow. I can't decide if it's chilli or bolognaise :o I can't be the only one this happens too!

Just popping in again to say how well you're doing, and how shocked I am at the trolling. The thing is, that troll is already being punished for their behaviour: being called out here; and even more by the sad life they are plainly already leading. They will never have the love and admiration that you enjoy from so many people.

The wait for DLA is beyond ridiculous. Now the election is over, could you contact your MP to push again?

You are an inspiration to us all. Keep going, love Humdinger

Just popping in to say that I, for one, have nothing but admiration for the you and the way you manage so much on so little and have wonderful children who are a credit to you. You work under the most difficult circumstances but get through anyway. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and please ignore the trolls who have nothing else to do with their lives but criticize others. Perhaps we should feel sorry for such sad people.
