Evening
Today's been busy. Had my own appointments this morning. While out and about I nipped in a few shops in town and picked up what I wanted for the smalls for Xmas.
Hope you've all had a lovely day

Hi Wb
sounds a productive day and I'm sure a change of scene will have done you good as well. Hope things are still improving, even if it is a slow process. xx

Morning
Thank you tea. It was nice to get away for a bit.
No sign of going home yet. Youngest seems to have taken a step back the last two days and is struggling again. It's such a rollercoaster and not in a good way. I'm exhausted so I can only imagine how she must be feeling about it all without feeling unwell too.
Older two are at school and are staying with their friend for dinner.
No real plans can be made so I'm just sort of stuck writing lists of things to get done but can't really do any of it. Have chased some admin stuff that needed sorting and have lots more I can do on that to do list.
Money came in and went out. All the bills are paid for a month. Have settled what I owed with school so any extra there will come from January's budget. Have drawn the £50 food budget out but can't really meal plan until we are home as we are using the budget for food here too.
Topped my phone up so have data again and smalls can watch netfl!x on my phone again.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

You are doing so well managing everything x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Thank you Jwil.
Have come for a coffee.
Meal plan is today's to do and a shopping list.
28 days (I'm not including Xmas day) - £50 budget
28 days breakfast
28 days lunches (18 days pack lunches)
28 days dinners
Snacks/toiletries and cleaning things.
Although I'm not sure how many days we'll still be here and being here will cost more to feed us all than it does at home but I'll then have less days at home to meal plan for.“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
Do your kids not like the school lunches? Surely they qualify for free school meals?
It's amazing how you get on with such a small budget, you are the budgeting queen!0 -

They won't eat school lunches
At all. They won't even try it and they aren't fussy (well the older two aren't) They would get free school meals though.
Thank you x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -
It's a shame about the lunches but DS was the same. They trialled 'grab bags' for a while at school which was basically a packed lunch and he didn't even like them - it wasn't the right bread! So frustrating at times.
How do you do things when you're in hospital for so long. Do you eventually have to pop home for a couple of hours and make their lunches/do washing etc?
Keep writing your lists, it's good to get things out of your head even if you're not able to do much at the moment. It's great that you've got the Christmas presents sorted and you just have the food to concentrate on now.
I know I keep saying this, but I hope you're all home soon. xx0
