Morning
Everyone's in school. Youngest still not 100% but she's gone in and we'll see how long it lasts.
We have a busy and late night tonight so need to get my stuff done today and have dinner etc ready for as soon as they are home. We are going to view the high school ds really wants to get in to.
Have been to measure rugs. Two together would cover the whole living room nearly. The kitchen would need one to do near the table/floor space leaving enough of the current jigsaw flooring for around the cooker/sink etc.
One more week to go until money in day. Seriously feel like I've been saying that for about 8 weeks. It has dragged a lot. A whole lot. Thing I need to rearrange some bills so instead of the weekly child benefit coming in and straight back out I can use it for the food shop etc. Because going 4/5 weeks in between just feels far too long and like a constant struggle.
Anyway that can be thought about once everything's sorted and on track.
Have a lovely day
Nearly weekend

Hi WB
Glad DD has made it into school, hope she stays well.
Open evenings can be a bit of a long drawn out process but you do learn a lot so definitely worth going. There's usually some weird experiment going on in the science labs - exploding jelly babies when we went with DS, and also something yukky to cut up in the biology lab, so it can be fun - if you like that sort of thing
You seem to have the flooring all in hand. Like you say as long as you can get something down even if it's temporary that's the main thing.
If your money is coming in and all spoken for on the same day, 4/5 weeks is definitely a long time to wait before it comes through again. Hopefully you'll be able to re-jig it so it's better for you. xx0 -
Afternoon
Just waiting on the school run.
The high school visit went well. It was like going back in time! DS liked it too.
Feeling really stressed and worried about everything.I feel like that's all I've said for weeks too
I'm actually fed up of myself :rotfl:
sleep is still rubbish definitely doesn't help. When I eventually do sleep horrible nightmares wake me. Can't win
Anyway it's finally weekend. No plans. No spends. Need to rustle up some sort of meal plan with what I have in. DS has his residential next week too. Youngest is still not great but really hoping it can be managed at home. I really can't afford for her to need to go inI realise how awful that sounds.
Have a lovely weekend and take care

Glad the open evening went well and DS liked it. Is there a good chance he'll get his first choice?
Really hope DD doesn't need to go to hospital, but if she does ring an ambulance, don't get a taxi. From what I've read you seem to make your own way there and back quite a lot and I don't know why. I know they're not a taxi service but they're used for plenty of people who are drunk, drugged up etc. and that's self inflicted. Can you tell I have absolutely no patience for that sort of thingAnd have a bag packed with some drinks and nibbles just in case.
Fingers crossed it'll be a quiet weekend for you. xx0 -
Hope you do have a quiet weekend.
Agree with tea on the ambulance.

We do use it if needed. It still costs on getting home etc and just a pain
obviously if it's needed we go I'd just rather not have too. Totally agree with the no patience for some of the things people call an ambulance for. Or even just present at A&E for the most ridiculous things. We've seen some things that you wouldn't believe if you weren't there to see.
I haven't decided what our first choice is yet Tea. It's so hard. One I really like it's results academically but I got a better feel from a different school but that doesn't have as good results. I visited myself last year and I'm taking DS to them this year. So I think we will view a few more that are in the running and have a good chat.
Have made soup with some frozen veg so that can feed me over the weekend. But I haven't properly got stuck in with having a look and coming up with a plan. I actually feel pretty rubbish so have fed the kids beans on toastthey are bathed and settling down now.
Will definitely need to buy bread/milk and some fresh bits as there's none of that in and it's needed for pack lunches/breakfasts. Will work it out over the weekend.
I have some ironing to do tonight then will probably dig out a book to read for a while. Trying to make my data last as I keep running out half way through the month.
We've been invited out to a friend's tomorrow but I don't think we will go. It will mean a later night than usual and I'll have to cook something to take along. Nice to be invited though. It's not often we are.

Hope you manage without needing to visit the hospital. Pity you can’t manage to go to your friends- it’d do you good to socialise.
Hope ds enjoys his residential.January spends - £587.580 -
Sad that you cant go to to your friends.

Afternoon.
We did go to my friends last night. I made a lentil curry and froze some for ready meals. I had everything in to make it so it didn't impact on the financial side of things. However I've been put in a position that does impact a lot of things. Again. (Not by friends)
.
Anyway
We are ready for DS going away. He just needs some snacks which I will sort this week. We have done homework and things and today is just about keeping it quiet and doing not much. Probably baking for lunch boxes and craft of some sort. It's raining so an inside day.
Youngest is still up and down with this bug that's lingering so will get her checked again tomorrow to see if some thing else can be found now it's been several more days. She's in good form today though and currently playing so that's a good sign.
Hope you've all had a good weekend and have a relaxing Sunday

Hi WB
Great to read that you went to your friends. As Beanie said, a change is as good as a rest. I'd have definitely made a beeline for the lentil curry
It's difficult with schools isn't it. I always think if children work hard it doesn't matter which school they go to - unless it's failing miserably on the teaching side that is! Ours wasn't too hard to choose. It's one of 4 and is pretty much the feeder school for the primary they went to. The others are a church academy, Catholic and practically impossible for them to get to as it's on the other side of town with no bus route.
Baking and crafting sounds a good way to spend the day. Have funxx
