I came across this article on schools uniforms - it sounds as though there may possibly be a way to bring pressure to bear on your Local Authority for subsidy to buy school uniform, even though they've said they don't have this scheme.
I hope they will at least help.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Hi Wannabe,
Much like greenbee, I am simply *swimming* in stationary, so I am more than happy to supply anything I have extras of. That way I can at least *pretend* to have finished that Marie Kondo book everyone goes on about!Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20

Hope your dodging the showers today. There’s some really heavy downpours here.
It’s good they get yr 6 ready for secondary school.
Our school sell unnamed school uniform from the lost property box every so often for peanuts. You’d be amazed how many items have no name in.....and they all look the same. Everything is put on a rummage table for parents to claim and unclaimed items are sold and if not sold disposed of:eek: Parents can rummage the lost property box at any time in between though. It’s amazing just how much stuff goes unclaimed - I used to know exactly what uniform mine had. Some families just throw money away:eek:January spends - £587.580 -
Morning WB
Hope the appointment went well and you all enjoyed the museum and library.

Morning
Slow one this morning, we are having a lazy day really. The first day with no appointments in what feels like forever!
Holiday is 10 weeks away Tea, will be into single week figures at the weekend. I am SO looking forward to a whole week away from here. I cannot wait. Smalls are majorly excited too.
We went to the uniform shop to look at sizing - DD was sick everywhere! She said that proves she's allergic to school :rotfl: I was so embarrassed! However she was not  She hasn't been unwell before or since then either. Strange.
Anyway going to go and make a start on the cleaning. The sun seems to be making an appearance so maybe we will stroll to the park later
Have a lovely day

Ooh she sounds like Violet from Just William but without the screaming part.
Hope you got the uniform sorted out and managed to get out to the park. xx0 -

Thank you
DD has been fine  definitely strange.
Uniform shop £52.93 (cardigan for the girls. Jumper for DS. PE kit for DS and DD) all this has logos and can't be bought elsewhere (23.97 already bought £28.96 to buy)
Mr A £56 (skirt for the girls. Trousers for DS. Polo shirt. Tights. PE pumps for youngest. Swim kit for the older two)
School shoes for the 3 of them (no idea on cost. Will no doubt spend a whole day trying them on in several places)
DS needs trainers. DD has some she can take already. (they get left at school for the whole term) will look around for these too.
I need to remember to order up to date med items and things for youngest (mainly free) but must not forget to order on the 15th (the earliest it can be ordered)
This is the list so far.
Also 10 weeks to holidayand the lists for this has started too. Some of youngests things need ordering a few weeks before we go and things need printing etc so the lists are long!
Getting back into my organised self after the blip.
