So I'm not sure what his next plan is. I gave up going round in circles with him and I'll call him tomorrow.

Remember the bailiff is on commission so he wants the money paid as quickly as possible, he can accept longer arrangements but doesn't want to.
Have you told him you are on benefits?
He will probably turn up on the door at some point so you need to think about your options and what I mentioned above.
Please contact your local councillor, details will be on the local council website, if a councillor gets a complaint it gets dealt with really quickly. If you explained briefly the DV, lack of money and youngest's issues I have no doubt the council would recall the debt.
I wont be back on until tonight, you can try and WA me although I am in a meeting all day from 12 - 5.0 -
Morning
Thank you EE will pack the kids off to school and WA you.
The bailiff has said the fee so far is £75 added onto the balance but if he has to visit then it goes to over £200that almost doubles the debt so will take me even longer to pay it off? So I don't think letting him in is something I can do even though I really need to sort it before I worry myself to death.
I'm going to sort the smalls and get them to school then try and call him and the council before our appointment this morning.
Thank you for all your help

Morning, W
I wouldn't promise him anything until you talk to your councillor and see if she can get it recalled. I also think that will happen if you explain all the circumstances. I know you're worried but try not to (easier said than done I know). xxxHave adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
Morning WB
Nothing to offer in the way of advice but I hope the councillor is able to sort something out for you. xx

Ditto to the above. It's ridiculous it's taken them so long to chase up this debt, I wonder if it was so old it was about to become unenforceable? Anyway my very best wishes for all to go quickly and smoothly and let you get back to the really important stuff of being Mum to the kids xI think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. I'm more worried about the amount going up so much it will take twice as long as pay back. I know I have nothing for them to take so that doesn't worry me.
Cherry it was being paid regularly until around 6-8 months ago as an attachment of earnings which is why I wasn't aware of it. It's only now it's not been resolved there they've come to me. I probably have had letters in the pastwhen I didn't open them.
Older two in school. Youngest is quite chesty today but she seems okay and no temp. I think every slight cough is going to put me on edge now
Just having a coffee and then the plan is phone calls then ironing why we wait for our home visit appointment.
Have a lovely day

Struggling to get through to the councillor but have left a message asking for a call back.
Morning appointment for youngest done. I'm just having a cuppa before I tackle the ironing.
Have left over chicken to use up so a pasta bake type dinner I think. I've meal planned out the freezer for the rest of the week although some bits I've had to put in the bin as I think they melted too far when the electric was offHate waste!

Really hope you don't have to wait too long for the call back and hopefully some sort of resolution.
I'm not a lover of food waste either but better to be safe than sorry. The last thing you need is 3 children with upset tummiesxx

Ironing done
Slowly
I'm having another cuppa. Seems I move at a much slower pace than I used too
The sun is shiningIt still feels quite cold though! Can't decide if dinner should be a cold chicken pasta meal or a hot chicken pasta meal. Hard decisions eh
If hot I can bake youngest some more biscuits but if cold it's much lazier :rotfl:
