I'm going out and the men of the house are going to the chippy. So another lazy one here today :D xx
  • We're having leftovers but lazily as we aren't cooking flatbreads again. Just buying bread from Tescos! :)

Accidentally defrosted (put on the side whilst OH hunted out something else) bolognaise sauce turned into chili here as there was leftover rice and flatbreads from the weekend curry.

Morning WB :) Hope DD2's cough hasn't got any worse and that you're not still waiting for the councillor to call you back.

    Have a good day. xx

    Morning :)

We ended up with chicken and potatoes with veg (the smalls are clearly the boss :rotfl:) Spag bol tonight though - they have something on after school so we will be home late. Speaking of late DD didn't go to sleep until nearly 1am! She was driving me mad.

Youngest is in school this morning to receive an award and so she can be on the school photo's I hope she's okay :o Although I know her helper will call if she needs me I can't help but worry :o I have 2 hours to myself now and it's so quiet!

The councillor hasn't got back to me on any of the stuff I'm waiting on her for. However by a miracle the CT is sorted so I don't need her help on that now. I do still need her help with the other stuff though so I hope she calls today as it's important 'stuff'

I have someone from the police coming today to install extra security locks and I need to chase up the people coming installing security lighting from the housing. Not holding my breath with the housing. My roof near my front door is still raining in 2 years after they first started working on it

Before I jump into all that and trying to jig the budget around I think another cuppa is needed.

    Have a lovely day

  • I'm so glad that the council tax has been sorted Wannabe, I was getting so worried while reading through all the entries before your update. That is wonderful news! Reading between the lines, that also sounds like the last financial tie you had to a certain person? How great that now you've got that reassurance that all the finances are under your control and you won't have to try to clear up after them.

So pleased to read that the police are coming to install extra security locks too. Not pleased that you 'need' them obviously, but happy that you will have some additional peace of mind. Fingers crossed security lights and roofing are fixed soon as well.

Have a lovely day and enjoy your cuppa :) x

I'm delighted the CT is no longer hanging over you, and even more happy that your youngest is up to going to get her award. :)

Worrying goes with having kids, especially when they either have some particular cause for worry or they're out of our sight! I am struggling with my youngest's taking a 2 week holiday to the other side of the world - this is the same young man who got himself lost and dehydrated in a foreign city last year and gave himself hypothermia before Christmas. At least you know there is someone looking out for her and that they'll call you if necessary, but she may just have a great time (as will my son, I remind myself!) and come in with lots to tell you (which he probably won't do :D).

I hope your day goes well and the people manage to fix the lights and roof. :)
