Good morning
Smalls ready for school - with some protest.
Youngest still in bed. Will get her up when I've finished my cuppa.
No real plans today other than chasing stuff and cleaning.
Have a lovely day x“Once you hit rock bottom, that's where you perfectly stand; That's your chance of restarting, but restarting the way.”0 -

Think you’ve done the right thing re unfollowing your family. As Beanie says, you can’t chose your family, but you can protect yourself from them XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

No DLA update. Still waiting for a date. Need to speak through options now though as I'm not sure if I should be making a new claim with the new situation. Confusing huh.
Pharmacy isn't delivering anymore. Not enough mad faces can cover how I feel. Considering this delivery should have been here on the 14th and I've chased it 3 times since then and only today they tell me she isn't eligible for delivery service. Fuming. I need to go over and collect the stuff today as we've run out of things. Don't even know how I'll get it all home
Thank you lucky

That's so frustrating WB  Didn't realise you had to be of a certain criteria to receive free pharmacy deliveries, I thought it was just a run of the mill service that was offered by everybody these days.
Hope you get an answer about what to do with the DLA. x0 -
That is awful about the pharmacy  "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

I haven't posted for a while but your posts over the weekend and this morning about a new claim has nudged me into action. I think you should be reclaiming as your DD's health condition has changed, and your posts allude to this being for the worse. I think you should PM EE as she knows more about how the system works than most of us. My reasons for suggesting you claim are below.
If you do lodge a fresh claim, they must take your new circumstances into consideration, from that date. If you have to wait (some suggest up to 18 months) for the appeal, and it were to be unsuccessful (I don't think it will be but this is insurance against that) the new claim would not mean you are starting again from scratch at that point, you could start again in the meantime and then the arrears from a successful appeal would be for the gap time only.
Regarding relationships
For what it is worth, I think unfriending people can be quite helpful in the short-term but I would not be burning the bridges completely. You have been in a crisis situation and had before Christmas cut off all communication with them , so very difficult to suddenly get support when the relationships are already damaged or fragile. When you are through this, you may feel differently and the lack of contact may seem less impactful. I would be leaving the door ajar and just maintaining "radio silence" for the time being. Not reading about them and looking may also reduce your feelings that you are outside that.
It always matters emotionally to us, even if we try to keep it at the back of our day. As you say, you care, so maybe give it time to repair and heal. Your support on here is unwavering and emotionally important. But sometimes real life support is needed too. I have no doubt there are things away from what you post on here, which means that we only see what you show, so our advice is based on part, and not all of the picture.
So once again, I am not agreeing with many others on here, and I hope this is not seen as criticism - it is a different view. Like others, I want you to be happy and debt free. xSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

Thank you Suffolklass I agree I need to look into the new claim. Got the support worker coming Friday to help me look through stuff.
As for the family I am the one who keeps reaching out and the door being closed in face. I keep saying I won't go back there again but I doHowever I'm always willing to leave that door ajar even more so for the smalls to have a relationship - they definitely haven't done anything wrong to be cut out. I no doubt will try again to reach out at some point
and again and again
but that's that. I try not to let it get to me and the majority of the time it doesn't. The weekend just pushed a button that really annoyed me
and I know o was childish to comment on it
as for here only seeing part that's definitely the case. There's been mistakes made on both sides and I'm definitely not totally innocent. I could have handled things differently and so could they. Maybe one day it will be moved on from.
Thank you for stopping in and replying
