    Bank Balance - £17.67

Bed Fund - should be enough for bedding/curtains so the room/bed is usable by this time next week.

Bank balance needs to cover -
Pharmacy around £7 (Must go to my pharmacy for this tomorrow!)
Travel - 3 more appointments (that will be 7 in total this week!)

Things are a bit all over the place this week. The money going on taxis/things at appointments etc makes me feel sick :o :rotfl:

I feel so behind on 'normal' things. Youngest wants to be attached to my hand/side constantly. The food requests from all the steroids are the weirdest things and never ending - even at 4am! Surprised she hasn't started on the non edible things!

I have what I need for DD's birthday but nothing organised, I need to finish her desk and finish the painting in their room. Then it needs cleaning and all putting back. Before Saturday! Which seems plenty of time but not with a 4 year old that is more demanding than a newborn!

Also because I like just making my anxiety worse I've invited some family members round on Sunday at DD's request :o They don't know if they can come (lets hope not :o or maybe lets hope so for DD's sake they can) But it's the last thing I need but I don't want to disappoint DD especially on her birthday!

And then after Sunday it will all start again next weekend for DS

Oh and this week is half term! Good job there's extra food in as I am so not prepared!

Well at least you have asked.
It is up to them if they come or not.

Good idea to change the bed delivery and give yourself more time to get organised. No wonder you're overwhelmed but Beanie is right, there's no rush to get any of it done, apart from what needs doing for DD's birthday. Just take your time and try to enjoy creating your own space.

It would be nice for DD if your relatives do pop in, even if it's just for a short while. Hope she's not too disappointed if they don't make it.

Does DD take steroids all the time or is it a course of medication? Hopefully, you'll feel better knowing what the situation is when you've seen the consultant on Friday.

Try not to let things get on top of you too much. xx

You have lots going on but you'll get there. Friday sounds like a busy day with b'day and appointment. Hope both go well. My OH took Dexamethesone too for a while and it really increased his appetite big time.

Hope you don't wipe yourself out with all the decorating but it will be great to have it done and your new bed - hope the smalls leave enough room for you in it too :)
  • Thank you Beanie x

She does take daily steroids Tea but at a smaller dose than the ones she's give when she's unwell. Side effects means she's no idea what she wants and she would eat her own arm if she could!

Thank you Teapot I can't wait for it all to be done.

  • Considering cancelling our holiday :o I have a few weeks to decide yet but I don't want to be too last minute and lose the £50 deposit. When I booked it we had the DLA.

Not sure something to think about I guess.

Have found someone to collect the smalls from school Friday so they don't need to come to youngest's appointment (also saves on travel costs :o as youngest is still free I will only need to pay for myself!)

Glad that you have someone to pick up the smalls on FRiday. That makes things easier for you.

I wonder if it would be worth phoning the DLA & telling them about all the recent appointments & changes to medication? x

  • I'm not sure Beanie, will call the advice service tomorrow and ask though

I'm sure they don't take 'new changes' into account but I can take the evidence of all this to the tribunal and show it's 'ongoing' and ties in with the previous information

Really considering just getting on the sofa with youngest and leaving the decorating tonight :o

Get on the sofa! It's late you must be shattered. Get your head down for a few hours and you'll wake up feeling ready to start again. Work too long and too late and you're just going to wear yourself out. It'll start to catch up with you soon if you're not careful and you need to be in the best shape you can be for the DC's.

Leave the holiday for now. You never know the DLA may come through. If not, you can decide what to do when the deposit becomes part of the decision. And even if you do cancel it and DLA gets awarded you'd be able to book something else.

Now cuddle up to DD and have a rest. :) xx
  • Thanks Tea

I'm only just opening this mornings (and some of yesterdays :o ) Post hence the holiday thoughts :o

I'm rubbish at opening post :o
