Today's appointments sound like they have been really productive!

Glad today's appointment went well. Just wanted to say that you are a strong woman for pushing on with the woeful NHS mental health system. A close family member had the same experience of finally plucking up the courage to ask for help, only for the GP to say they couldn't do anything. It is shocking. I'm glad you got some counselling at least, and I'm extremely impressed you're still plodding along despite it all.0

They where helpful PB glad I went, not often I say that
I feel like huge leaps where made today in seeing through some things rather than me standing behind the 'wall' and not really working with it. The smalls happiness means the most to me though and it's something I want to work on now. I'm such an all or nothing person though. If I let someone in and let my guard down then I want to be something that works both ways not all one sided or I'm the total opposite. I seem to struggle with the in the middle
But it can be worked on, even more so if it means the smalls are happier and things are easier for them.
Thank you GlendaSugarbean I got nothing from the NHS for years. Its been ongoing years so much so I was under CAHMS for similar issues as now and I waited for the counselling and psychologists appointments for over 2 years. It was only when it all came to a head last year and something had to be done to help before something bad happened they finally took it seriously, it took a lot to get the appointments I have now. I realise there is people who are at the point I was and they still don't receive help. I do feel lucky I was given the safety net when it was needed most.

I'm a bit late to the party Wannabe but that's fantastic news about the rent review and the credit card
.
I agree that people can be mean about mental health but that is mainly due to a lack of understanding. I think most people suffer from some form of poor mental health at some point in their lives, whether that be anxiety, low mood, or something worse. It really is very common. I suffer from anxiety and depression as you know and I would never judge anyone for having poor mental health. People need help and understanding, not judgement.
I think if people can talk about it then that is great and helps other people to understand they're not alone and people in general to understand the issues around it. But if it would harm someone's mental health to talk about it then that is very much all right too. What's good for one person isn't always good for another.
You are an amazing person Wannabe who is so kind, caring, strong minded, determined and brave. You should be proud of all that you've achieved and the lovely mother that you are being to your smalls. Busy day today, Back to back appointments and both of them over run! But they went well and I feel a lot better and have some things to work on. They have helped figure some things out that need working on and seeing from a different point of view.

People with debt problems talk about a lightbulb moment and I think it is the same with some problems and issues. You have to be ready and able to talk about them and deal with what results from that. Sometimes it takes time to get to that stage
You really are an amazing lady and Mum, I have no doubt that you will do what is best for the smalls!
And hasn’t the Council Tax gone down with a bump? Sure it was more than that a day or so ago
You really should be proud of what you have achieved, debt busting, bringing up three wonderful children and coping with everything else that has been thrown at you :T

Thank you MatyMoo, I think you're right and I think finding the 'bit' that I feel needs to be fixed makes it easier too. Somethings I just feel even if I speak about it etc at my appointments they can't be changed etc. I'd rather work on what I can change, what I can make better now.
Council tax went down £111 today with help. All through helpMy bank balance is under £5 now I've topped my phone up. 2 weeks and the CT will be gone

So pleased you are getting help, in all ways possible :T:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Sounds like today was worth getting out of bed for :T Seriously, the CT figures are fantastic, don't forget it was only at the beginning of this month that things were looking really bleak and yet here you are now with the CC gone and the CT very nearly gone. :T
Very glad to hear the counselling went well and you found it beneficial. Maybe, even though you might not have realised it, you went with a slightly different outlook today. Whatever route you take in the future and whoever you decide to let into your life will work out fine, because you might not know it but you're becoming stronger every day. As long as you make yourself and your children the main priority, which you do, you won't go wrong. xx
