Morning just on the school run waiting for the doors to open. Smalls are definitely in school today. Although DDs new shoes are broken! So will have to take them back this morning and change them and go back up to school with them.
Feeling a bit more positive today. I have lots of info to pass across when I make my phone calls today. Thank you for all the help.
Fingers crossed today is a better day.

It looks like it's the stitching on the fastening. I'm going to take them back and ask to change them.
But I'm having a cuppa first it's snowing and sticking!

Snowing here as well Wannabe and I have to go out in the car

So today's plan
1st don't get emotional and worked up about it:rotfl:
But finish an email I started to the Housing. I need to spell check it and things it was at 4amBest to make sure and reply back to the court officer that replied rather than the one I usually deal with. Plus point he seems nicer.
I need to go to Asda and ask them to change the school shoes. I hope they will it's very obvious it's a fault. The stitching the strap goes through has undone, so you can't fasten the shoe? Hope that makes sense.
Call Tax credits
Call DLA to tell them I want to appeal - find somewhere to help - CAB? maybe.
Make sure I tell the counsellor I will be attending this week.
I'm tired just looking at that list.
I've remembered to lift dinner out the freezer so it can defrost.

Baby steps today WF - tackle one thing at a time, see it through as far as you can then set it to the back of the list again if anything still needs doing. Take a rest - 15 minutes with a book, or of a TV show, or just sitting on the sofa with your eyes closed determinedly thinking of nothing - then move on to the next thing. The rest bit is vital as it sounds like you not only got not much sleep last night, but not much rest either - and your body needs that.
You can always talk about whatever you need to on here - if people are saying to you "don't worry about this or that until you know what you're dealing with" that's not saying "don't talk about it" - it's trying to underline that going over and over figures that are currently just guesswork just increases your stress and worry, and you already have enough of that. As someone else said - deal with the things you can change - or even potentially change - and leave those you can't on the back burner for now. (virtual hug, without using that dodgy group hug emoji!)
Good that the smalls are back in school, flipping appalling about the shoes - hope the replacement pair are better. Hope the snow doesn't linger about too long either!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I hope you manage to get some success today WF.
Definitely don't offer HA any more than you are currently paying. You'd be better off saving any extra as an emergency fund and then paying a lump sum if you don't need it.
I hope you can get something from Tax Credits too."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Morning lovely,
Good luck with your list today.
Small steps and try and rest at some point.
Big hugs xx0 -

CAB is generally very good. Find your local bureau here https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/ You may need to drop into a Drop In Centre first. Bring all your paperwork and ID (see what they require). They can help with Finances as well. Don't speak to Tax Credits until you have spoken to CAB. XDebt: £11,640.02 paid in full! DFD: 30/06/20

Wannabe - Regarding the joint arrears, you are not liable for those yourself it was a joint claim so any arrears are split down the middle and you are liable for your half and they will go after the other person to pay their half.
Have experienced this myself and thankfully found out this little bit of information so please please do not pay you're ex's half as you've paid off so much of their debt as it is xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050
