Meal plan 19th-26th
Chickpea & Lentil curry with flatbreads (Freezer already made 'meal')
Chicken - maybe make into chicken nuggets? Or Sunday dinner.
Tomato pasta bake
Omelette
Cottage Pie & Veg (Freezer already made 'meal')
Jacket potato
Lunches, Sandwiches, Soup. Something on toast.
Breakfast, Toast, Cereal, Pancakes.
Snacks - fruit/baked things (flapjack/muffins/biscuits)
No order just what ever gets chose that day. I realise it's very 'samey' but that's what we have in
Shopping list wrote
Potatoes x 2, Carrots, Cabbage, Onions, 2 x Milk, Eggs, 2 x Bread, Juice, Toilet roll, Apples & Yogurt. Should come to £11.59 - forgot salad, will spend up to 97p on salad.
This leaves £10 in the bank.
Fingers crossed nothing unexpected happens. Have rearranged my appointment to the week after so shouldn't be bus fare or anything.

Glad the school were understanding about the shoes but so they should be too - not reasonable to expect anyone to be able to replace something like that between 3.30pm one day and 9am the next!
Hope the weekend is lovely for you all! What did you eat this evening while the smalls were nomming on pizza? (And I agree with those who said there's no need to feel bad about that either - we're having a fry-up tonight because there were sausages in the freezer and eggs that need using! )
I haven't had anything yet, I have my veg/potato peelings to make into soup ready for the freezer so will probably have soup.
I had told her to wait which is why I was cross but then when she said she just wanted to help I felt awful
But it is hard on the budget it's not even like it was a little bit, it was a whole new 4 pints

So sad that the cost of 4 pints of milk makes such a blooming difference

Sorry to hear today's been stressful.

Totally agree about anxiety sloshing around, I felt like mine was a nasty bird that just dug its claws into the next thing as soon as I got each one resolved! But as things get steadier and steadier it has less to do so it's shrunk a lot.
Have you ever tried guided meditation for sleep? There are some free ones and it means you've got something to focus on and help you relax (I never manage it just by telling myself to relax).

Your meal plan sounds good and it's all homemade and healthy so I wouldn't bother about it being the same. We can be quite repetitive here with food but we know what we like and we like what we know
It's snowing here. How about where you are? x0 -
I agree with Teafor2 such a lot of goodness in those meals. How do you get on getting the smalls to eat veg? I’m big sure if mine would eat cabbage....0
-
Just do whatever it takes to get through these next few weeks, don't worry about it being the same, it all sounds healthy. You can have a rethink once the debts are gone. I think it's brilliant how you're getting things sorted so young, the only way is up for you xxI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

Exactly - which is why you were right to be cross. Also though, it's not just the money is it - think about it this way - that could have been something involving a sharp knife you had told her to leave, and her "wanting to help" (lovely as it is that she DID want to help!) could then have lead to her hurting herself. You're an amazing Mum, no question, and part of that is having to play "bad cop" sometimes for their own good! xx🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thank you Rosa, I've tried all sorts. I struggle to switch of enough to fall asleep and then nightmares wake me once I am asleep

No snow yet Teafor2, it did a bit earlier but didn't stick it was too wet.
Missy they have gone through stages of being a bit fussy, but they know they aren't too bad and will eat anything now. The youngest is fussier but she didn't eat anything until nearly 3 so I'm hopeful she will catch up.
Thank you SA. I finally feel like I can look to when the debt is gone. The end is in sight and it will be amazing.
Thank you EH, I hadn't thought about it like that
I don't like being the bad cop

You are doing so well! Congratualtions on the cc.
We have had to do bad cop one night this week, just because the kids were not listening. What a difference it made to their behaviour and it was totally the right thing to do.
