I think schools can be ridiculous with the turnaround they expect for replacing uniform etc and all the extra costs for events and trips. It will be ok with DD, once she's home from school and you get a chance to talk about it

I find that when I've been really worried about something, braced for the worst and then it doesn't happen (or if something good happens instead!) the anxiety doesn't dissipate, instead it sort of sloshes around and I find myself getting anxious about the strangest things or for no reason at all. I can't even imagine how stressed you've been recently with your budget being so tight, so even though you've made such great progress recently, it makes sense that your body hasn't quite caught up with you yet. Be kind to yourself and remember that you are doing so amazingly well!
Hope you have the chance to do something lovely for yourself this weekend, I'm always so impressed with all your activities - you are providing such a wonderful life for your smalls

Bills are all paid for the week, Got DD's shoes and tights. Have gone through the freezer and cupboards and meal planned and hoping to get through the week on £10 rather than emptying the bank totally and spending £20. Best keep DD away from the milk

Anyway smalls home and all sorted about this morning. Happy with shoes and tights. They are having a wonderfully healthy diner of pizza
It's not a regular thing I'm sure they will live. They are already bathed and in PJ's because we got very wet! So they are eating their dinner and then going to play a board game I think (they keep changing their mind!)
Happy weekend

If for any reason they aren’t suitable, stick them on eBay and get something else with the profits
.
My 2 have pizza at least once a week! Don’t beat yourself up over it, bet the smalls loved it XxDebts @ LBM £23,729.31. Debts @ 08/04/2016 £0 :j

Hey wannabe, sorry I’m late to the party today. Bless you what a crappy start. I too get cross, usually over lateness then get cross then feel awful. I’m glad all are home and in their pyjamas. Did you manage to sort shoes and tights in the end? Mine love pizza for dinner it’s usually a Friday staple! Hope you manage to chill out this evening. I seem to spend my evenings going over budgets a thousand times to see if I’ve miscalculated!0

Thank you Lucky, They loved the pizza x
I did get shoes and tights Missy, I spend my evenings doing the same
Trying to squeeze as much as I can out of the money I have and working out when the debts will be gone etc.

Absolutely don't feel guilty for being cross WF - you'd told her to leave it I presume, and she didn't - the cost of the milk is a big hole in a budget as tight as yours, never mind the hassle of having to clear up the mess!
Glad the school were understanding about the shoes but so they should be too - not reasonable to expect anyone to be able to replace something like that between 3.30pm one day and 9am the next!
Hope the weekend is lovely for you all! What did you eat this evening while the smalls were nomming on pizza? (And I agree with those who said there's no need to feel bad about that either - we're having a fry-up tonight because there were sausages in the freezer and eggs that need using! )🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
