I know it's easier said than done but if you can save for a holiday, I think you should. Everybody deserves to have something to look forward to. Same goes for whatever you're saving for.

Are you paying the credit card off or just making a payment and does it actually go down or does the interest make it more every month? I thought my interest rate was bad in the 20's but 50% is horrific. Have you got the ball rolling for littlest's DLA? That would make a big difference to your I'm sure. x

Teafor2 it's nice to have something there to focus on. I haven't told the smalls so if it doesn't happen they won't be dissapointed. We had use of a relatives caravan last few years and made the most of it. However we don't now so it would be the only actual holiday so would be nice. The other saving is household items needed but we can manage without as we have so again not a priority to us even if it would be to some.

The minimum payment isn't even covering the interest I don't think :o It's right at it's limit now and I think once this months interest is added on it will go over limit even if I pay the minimum. So I really need to do something about this.

I have I asked for the reconsideration nearly a month since they received it a little less time since they received the evidence I sent. However I think the time of year isn't helping the speed of things. If/when that is sorted we would be totally fine with everything again.

    Coming up we have

A school trip for DS I think it will be around £14 as it's similar to one DD went on last half term.

    DD1 Birthday 17th Feb

    DS Birthday 2nd March

    DD2 Birthday 8th March

My birthday is before theirs but I think I will get away with letting mine pass without them knowing this year (I tried last year but DS heard a conversation and insisted we made cards and cake :rotfl:

I will need to get them a small gift and card. I will make cakes and let them choose the dinner plans for that day.

So enough to keep me busy then :rotfl:

You could really do with the DLA coming though - not just because the money would help but because you deserve to have it. Is there no funding for taxi's for DD even if you don't get DLA? Or a community ambulance you can tap into for hospital visits? Having said that, I'm sure you've been dealing with all this long enough to know what you can access and what you can't - I'm just making sure you're not being too proud to ask :o

Having charges and interest added to the loan must be a worry for you. Hope you manage to get the loan paid off asap.

Blimey, 3 birthdays in 3 weeks  I agree with PLMBL the children would really enjoy making you cards and cake and celebrating your birthday. It would be a shame for them to miss out on that. x

Happy new year! Glad the meds seem to be working for youngest, but I really hope the problems with sleep soon settle down.

You have such creative children! Did they get it from you? I'm wondering if you could make home made cards and save a bit that way?

    Happy New Year W. :)

You've done so well with your debt repayments, I'm sure you can get the credit card paid off but it's not easy with such a high interest rate. Hope the DLA gets sorted soon.

I agree with the others, let the kids do a bit of baking or at least make a card for your birthday. They'll love doing it for you & just want to show how much you mean to them. Is DS big enough to do a bit of simple baking with minimal supervision even?
