I think you're right to flag it up officially, sometimes it's the only way to go.

We had to remove DS from primary school when he was 7. The same school my DD had loved and didn't have a problem with just wasn't for him and we let a certain situation with a member of staff carry on a lot longer than we should have done because he had friends there. Once we'd made the decision and told him he was moving, I literally saw a weight lift from his little shoulders. My anxious little boy became a new person. He settled into his new school well, made friends and absolutely loved the rest of his primary years. I know it's not the same situation, your children are happy but if changing schools because of friends they already have is on your mind, they really do adapt very well. xx
  • I may be wrong but a lot of things now in education. health, etc, etc, etc seem to be about meeting targets and ticking the boxes with little thought to the needs of individuals. Teachers, doctors, nurses do marvellous jobs in difficult circumstances but they are being strangled in red tape. The advice above seems good to me.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
  • Absolutely rubbish about the school and glad you are complaining. I hope you are enjoying the show after all now Xx

    Thank you :)

DD's play was amazing, she makes me so proud :A

I spoke to the principal and told him exactly why I was so annoyed this morning. He said he understands but the same will have to happen again tomorrow for DS's  Anyway I'm not letting him spoil it. I've spoken to Education services and they have given me the steps to follow so will do that as soon as I get chance. Probably Thursday now

It was quite a late night, we didn't get back home until 7pm and tomorrow will be the same. Tonight I've fed them soup and warm bread :o They did have pudding too though. Tomorrow I think I'll make the girls dinner before we go to watch DS then DS can have a ready meal from the freezer.

Today was a NSD. I held strong and didn't buy the picture of the nativity (they only email it anyway and hopefully one of DD's friends will send it across) If they don't though it isn't the end of the world I don't think many bought it at £3 for an email I think it's too much. I didn't join in the raffle either :o Wouldn't have even if I wasn't skint!

I have drawn the money out for the Vet for Friday and have arranged to pop in to the SA on Friday for a coffee it's only £1 and if I don't have it to waste on coffee then I'll just call in to wish them a Happy Christmas and not stay.

I am SO looking forward to these school holidays. We all could do without the early morning school runs in the wet and cold.

  • Yet more proof that the school are tight as ticks . My DS’ school send both a class photo and an individual photo home FREE with each child after the nativity.

Glad the play went well though.

We are also counting down to the holidays Xx

  • I thought it was unusual I wouldn't mind £3 if it was printed (I still wouldn't have bought it :o But it's understandable) but for an email :o I thought no way :rotfl:

    Smalls are finally all asleep.

Forgot to come back and post yesterday and then forgot because I ranted this morning. But DD2 got to open the card that came in the post after the other two got home from school yesterday and she thought it was amazing! Like I think she's going to be waiting for the postman everyday now :rotfl: She wasn't impressed when he didn't stop at our house this morning :o :rotfl: They have hung it on the living room wall :rotfl:

I need to pop a card in the post tomorrow, smalls haven't finished making them so will use a shop card so I know it will arrive before Xmas.

We have the cards to finish this weekend and some other christmas crafty things to keep them busy (although I think they are so tired they just want a blanket on the sofa :o)
