I'm so sorry to hear about your dog - I hope in the days and months to come you will be able to remember all the good times you shared and not dwell too much on the way it has ended.
Any pet is a family member to be remembered with true love, Ive actually cried more over pets dying than I have over people dying.0 -
So sorry to read your sad news. As others have said, a pet is a major part of your family and it’s natural to mourn them and feel devastation at their passing.

Oh Wannabe what sad news. You can pay in instalments for treatment at our vets. I'm surprised they didn't offer you that option yesterday especially if it's where you always go.
Cherryfudge's idea of a tree or plant is really nice. Or if you could find some biggish stones in the park maybe they could decorate one each for her. Either for their rooms or the garden. x0 -
Morning
I'm so tired today.
Thank you for all the lovely comments and things.
Teafor2 it wasn't my usual vet
It was double the cost at our usual vet and I had no way to get her that distance quickly. I got her seen at the nearest vet possible who spoke to our usual vet though. I'm going to call this morning and ask about the ashes. It is something I'd really like to be able to get back even if it does seem a waste of money to most

If getting her ashes back really means that much to you then it's not a waste of money. Timing could be better yes, but it is what it is. Hopefully you'll be able to pay in instalments which would help. x0

I've spoken to the vet, they can't do instalments but will keep her ashes 3 weeks for us before they dispose of them. I guess that's something.
I still feel like it's a bad dream and it isn't happening
Youngest keeps asking me when we can go up to the sky to visit

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.
