Those are brilliant prices! And the anticipation of more is great. If they get bored in the meantime, maybe they could put on a play for you?! :D

No need to justify it, if that's the bulk of extra spending over the holidays, people will be looking for voucher codes in imitation of you!

Sounds like you're showing the kids a great time, which comes as no surprise!

Where did you find the theatre discount codes? I would love to take mine but it always seems so expensive and I don't know where to start with discount vouchers.

We are going to see Jack and the Beanstalk :)

Helsbell the codes I search google for usually, although the theatre one where in the local paper on FB. I don't think you're local to me but for anyone who is the code makes the tickets £5 each. The hollywood bowl code I think can be used at any HW Bowl and gives 50% off games before 11am :)

The circus moves on from us on Sunday and we went on a Wednesday as all the tickets are £6.50 each for any seat. Otherwise if you print their pinned post on FB/get a voucher from them you can get £5 off each seat on any other day.

We also have free viewings of a movie every Wednesday in town at 11am and 2.30pm and the light cinema does morning viewings for £1.95 each (there is 2 movies a week that change on a Thursday)

Thank you for all the lovely replies. I thought I'd be hung for spending on things I don't need

The kids have spent the day painting new piggy banks and playing with the dolls house this afternoon. We had to pop out to collect something from Arg0s so it broke the day up a little.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

  • Glad you had a lovely time at the circus and excellent news at the reduced cost theatre tickets, enjoy these moments with your little ones, before you know it they are all grown up.

I think at the moment these things are a need rather than a want. The wee ones are enjoying it and it sounds as if you're in a better place yourself for doing it. And you've done incredibly well getting all of that for so little.
Jack and the Beanstalk sounds fab.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

    Morning :)

    Thank you

Payday, bills paid for this week at least. Need to do a meal plan and organise a shop to come.

DS is driving me insane this morning. He bought a new controller for his game and it doesn't work. (roll eyes needed here!) Have offered to take it back this morning but he doesn't want to go out! Can't win! Good mind take it off him now anyway. Kids eh!

Waiting for someone to come and fix something in the house today so probably won't go out far anyway.

Hope you all have a lovely day
