I'm back from Ikea and spent about £40. £30 of that was for a new TV unit, which I didn't really need but would look nicer in my living room than my current one. Also went out for a meal and completely stuffed my face - nothing new there.

Had no news off the Halifax today and Egg still haven't paid me my £20 :( Hate it when people keep me waiting.

Going to bed now as I'm absolutely stuffed.

    Hi GR
how are you? Sounds like you had a good day in Ikea. I'm resisting going there in the hols, I know I'll end up with something I don't need.
Have a good day at work, and hope you get some news from the halifax.

Thanks Diz, Am really tired this morning, don't know what's the matter with me. Got to leave early as well as DD got physio at 8.45 :(

I had a lovely time last night, the kids decided not to come with us so it was really nice spending the evening with another adult. I bought a few things (nothing that I really needed) but apart from the TV cabinet, which I'm going to attempt to put together over the weekend, I sent very little.

This week I'm going to start my food shop online so tonight, armed with the debit card I'm going to the virtual asdas. I really can't be doing with going to the store anymore. Does that sound lazy?

Right I'm off now to catch up on some other threads and I'll catch up later with any news (hopefully from Egg or Halifax).

Think the old laptop is dying on me. Couldnt get it to work at all yesyerday but it seems to be fine today. Have packed up another book to post off and got a few letters to post off. Kids going with ex hubby today so I thought I'd have a peaceful day, then nephew phoned me yesterday and asked me to babysit for my great nephew!!!!! Coukdn't refuse as is only for about an hour and its late this afternoon.

Am going to pop out this morning and post letters and look in the local poundstretchers then its clean clean clean this afternoon.

Didn't feel too good yesterday was really tired, went to bed early last night and feel so much better this morning.

Hopefull, laptop allowing I'll be popping back and forth for the majority of the day.

Well I've done absolutely nothing today. Ex had kids today and I was going to do so much with my 4 hours of 'me time' per month. Ended up taking uncle to hospital and mum shopping then before I knew it the kids were back. Ex tried to fix my laptop but he ended up completely ruining the hard drive so I've had to go out and get a new laptop. Am really gutted as I had to use some of my savings.

Still nothing off Halifax or Egg!!!

Oh GR sorry you're laptop died on you. It just shows how much we rely on them...but at least you did have savings to get another and didn't have to go in debt to get one...how does that feel. I know in one way not good because you had to use your savings so I suppose it's bittersweet.
Hopefully you won't have to get a new one for donkeys now though.
Isn't the purpose of 'me time' so you can have time for yourself to relax and recharge your batteries? Hope you weren't planning on doing housework with it...:naughty:
Pouring down here so keeping warm.
Think I've missed putting the lottery on, wonder what time it is...OH does 3 lines as well so hope he's got lucky!
Fingers crossed for you too GR

As you can see I didn't do very well at all.

You can't believe the feeling I had when the laptop died. I was gutted but then I thought - hell lets just go out and buy a new one. I did choose the cheapest one though
  • Dont be so hard on yourself, I thinks it great that you have been able to get debt free and build up £1000 in three months so that for times like this you can replace stuff without worrying or borrowing.

Good morning all. Not had a bad night. Got 2 parcels to post (amazon sales) and have just listed another 3 DS games. These are going for quite a bit of money so I'm hoping they'll sell quickly.

Have had a really good productive morning, managed to get lots done in a short space of time. DD agreed to help me and in return I've got to take her to the local woolies for some stuff she wants. Not a bad deal as she's been really helpful. Having lunch at mums today so that'll be nice, then the internet shop is being delivered this afternoon.

Have had a really productive day today. Totall blitzed the house apart from the living room which will be done next. Have also managed to sell the games I listed on Amazon this morning making a nice little profit of £32.02.

Have got my new desk arriving tomorrow so I've just got to rearrange the furniture in the living room to accommodate it. Thats the next and final job of the day. Going to have a nice hot bath then and relax with a bar of galaxy and a little alcoholic drink!

Hope you've all had a good Sunday
