Thanks Diz, feeling much better today, not so on edge as I was yesterday. Was just going to have a look at your diary and catch up but you've got on here before I had a chance. DD is sleeping over my mums tonight so it's just me and DS and he's locked away in the bedroom with the wii. This means I get the TV and computer all to myself tonight.

I'm still patiently waiting for one of books to go on Amazon. Nothing seems to be happening or am I just expecting too much too soon.

Was going to go out for meal tonight but my friend phoned and isn't feeling so good so they are just going to come round my house and chill out a bit. That means that Asda's after work is the only spending I'll be doing today.

Got to take DD to physio this morning and got to be there by 8.45. I have trouble getting to work by 10 so how the heck I' going to manage that I'll never know.

    Catch up later
  • We wait all week for the weekend and when it comes I feel really down in the dumps. All I seem to do is clean. Went to Asda last night and didn't do so well with the shopping, spent about £80 :( It was all stuff we needed, absolutely sick of eating party food (trying to clear the freezer from Christmas).

Am off to the cinema this afternoon, DD is desperate to see Penelope and I need some cheering up so off we're going. Got a party tonight so today is going to turn out expensive.

Hi Racer, there must be something in the air today. Don't know what's the matter with me as I can't snap out of this mood. Been to the cinema this afternoon and just having 5 minutes before I've gotta perform some miracles and make myself look half decent!!!!!

I know once I'm at the party I'll enjoy myself, its the thought of the all the effort of getting ready to go. Think I'm getting old.........
  • Hi GR...it's funny isn't it, if there's a night planned it's usually when you feel like staying in and vice versa.
You'll have a great time...sometimes it's just nice to get dressed up and do something different than staying in.
Don't worry about the asda shop, if you needed it then you had to get it, so you didn't do anything wrong there and you've been using up your Christmas stuff so you've saved loads anyway so a pat on the back I think :T
Have a great time tonight GR

  • Hi GR, How did your party go? Hope you had a good time. We went out for a meal last night and had to go to three restaurants before we got served lol. Hope your night was better. x

  • The night wasn't so bad. I got dressed up then had the comment off mum about how I would have looked better dressed in somethinf else, how my boots were too high and how my dress was too low so went in feeling like a hooker! Kids moaned all night DS was missing Ant & Decs Saturday Night Takeaway and DD just wanted to be in the house playing.

Awkward situation with family as well. My nephew is from my brothers first marriage and I actually prefer my first sister-in-law to his current wife so felt torn who to bother with. Ended up leaving about 10.30 because the stress of it all was too much for me. The night ended with a text off the ex asking if I'd enjoyed the party. If it was this time last year I would have been absolutely thrilled that he was paying me so much attention, as it is now I've kind of moved on and would rather if he didn't communicate. Have decided to go into hibernation from the outside world and only speak to my cyber space friends for a while.

As for MSE spent a whole £8 last night We all had 2 drinks each (soft drinks of course as I was driving).

Got absolutely nothing planned for today other than housework (again .....) and lunch at mums.
  • Hello there GR...how proud am I of you regarding your ex. Well done.
Your attire sounded really hip and funky to me GR, as long as you're comfortable what you're wearing it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. At least you got out for the night, and didn't spend much money.
Think I'll join you in the hibernation, I don't think the weather helps, does it?
Well monday tomorrow again...where does the weekend go???
