Have currently got 12 books listed on Amazon but have decided not to list anymore. A friend of mine is selling her house and is doing a car boot sale so I'm going to go along with her and sell the rest of my stuff at the same time. Managed to transfer a little extra money into the ISA this morning as there was more money in my current account that I actually thought so I'm well over the £500 mark now. Don't know exactly how much is in there but I'm going to try and scrape some more together over the next 7 days and then it'll be a nice surprise when I look next week.

  • Hiya GR...I hope it warms up a bit before you do that carboot, it was freezing today wasn't it. I don't know whether to do amazon, I've sold a few books on ebay, OH likes reading the Sharpe books, I just like Sean Bean, well he is a bit rugged looking isn't he, and Bernard Cornwell books and they've sold well. Will have to see if he's read what he has now and maybe put those on. It's a faff though isn't it and at the moment I feel too lazy.
Look how well you're doing with all the money-saving.What a lovely surprise you're going to get when you have a look next week.
I love Ikea too. I adore the way they have the rooms set out but if I tried to get that look it wouldn't come off I'm sure. OH isn't a fan of wandering round there though, unless we need something, but I just love to browse round. (mind you I think we always fall out at Ikea :D ) You did very well to only spend a little.:D
Have a relaxing evening...only two more work days then the week-ends here.

Oh the weekend. Have had one too many late nights lately and then when I've gone to bed I've had so much on my mind that I haven't been able to sleep. Have got ulcers in my mouth a cold sore on my lip, my throat is sore and I've got a cough and a headache. Have just had a lovely hot bath and now going to relax with a wee dram of something for my chest!!!!!

Feeling quite a bit better today. Slept really well don't feel quite so ill today. Am dreading going to work though, there's a girl I work with and she's such an aggressive, nasty and negative person that by the end of the week she starts to pull you down with her.

Have already been shouted and sworn at by her this week, trouble is with me I question the way she speaks to people rather than accept it which is what most people do with her. Yesterday she had 'do you really have to speak to me in that manner. I am only ever polite and professional to you, do you think it would be too much trouble to speak to people the way you'd like to be spoken to' Didn't go down too well with her! Why are there such horrible people around and why do they have to work with me?

Back to the money saving. Not much happening today. Now that I've reached and slightly exceeded my aim for the month I seem to be dragging my feet. What am I like????? Still haven't telephoned the Halifax regarding the secured loan, not quite feeling up to 45 minutes on the phone with them.

    Catch you all later.
  • Glad to hear a goods night sleep has left you feeling a bit better. Hopefuly a couple more and you will be back to full strength.

Thanks Wendy. Hopefully catch up with some more sleep tonight as I'm out for a meal with a friend tomorrow and partying on Saturday night. It's all or nothing in my life at the moment.

Hi GR, I know what you mean I had a nasty girl and when she took time off to get married it was bliss! She's nasty to customers as well, no wonder no one went to her wedding lol. I would ignore it and not take it personally shes just taking her insecurities out on you! I believe in Karma! If you know what I am saying.

Oh I know what you mean alright. How are things going with you Racer, all OK with you?
  • Oh GR...it's not a nice feeling when you have to face people like this. Sometimes you just have to let it go over your head and if she's like that with others let them deal with it. I know that isn't how we should have to be but you spend too long at work to be unhappy. People like that usually get their come uppance. If she's confrontational all the time she probably enjoys it when she stirs things up, ignore her and that'll take the wind out of her sails, hopefully. Sadly they seem to be more in the norm these days, and when you're a nice person you feel it more.
    How were things today?
Sounds like you need some hot toddies too, hope you feel better soon.
