I forgot it was half term next week. I've just posted on your diary telling you to chill out cos theres school tomorrow. Don't even know what time of year it is sometimes.

I've done absolutely nothing this weekend other than post on here and catch up with everyones diaries. At least its kept me out of trouble though.
  • :D Hey it's okay hun, I never know what day it is either.:D
It definately helps coming on here doesn't it doing our diaries. I'm enjoying the 'shabby chic thread' and 'where the OS magic happens' thread. Just lots of decorating ideas etc.

    Ok plan of the day.

Pay the £70 from the savings tin into bank account this morning and transfer it into the ISA when I get home from work.

Am taking packed lunch to work even though I'm going to be travelling between different hospitals. It would be so much easier to pop into McDonalds but no - home made chicken sandwiches it is!

Hope you all have a good day
  • Did you manage to stay out of McDonalds? Thats probably about £3 saved taking your own lunch. It really does add up. You are still so motivated, well done.
    Catch you later :D

Believe it or not I did manage to stay out of McD's. Had my lunch at 12.00 so when I left my department and went out and about I wouldn't be tempted.

Have banked the £70 and transferred it into the ISA so that's looking pretty good. Waiting for the cheque fro Mazuma to clear then that'll go across and also had an e-mail from Envirofone to say that they had sent me the cheque today. Feel as if I'm getting somewhere today.
  • Well done GR...another good day for you hun. Hope I have as much determination as you for saving, once these debts are off my hands.:D

Its becoming quite obsessive now. I feel really down if I've not managed to save any money. Whereas I used to think about debt constantly now all I'm thinking about is saving. I've exhausted every idea on making more of it and I've emptied every saving pot I've got.
  • Well done on your savings-and avoiding McD's! I've found that I'm becoming quite obsessive about clearing my debts as well-which can only be a good thing can't it?! I remember seeing on Spendaholics on BBC3 that people who get into debt are usually quite compulsive people eg they get obsessed with having nice clothes, hair, lifestyle etc but actually when they do start to deal with their debts they often become really absorbed with that and become addicted to saving! Here's hoping!
    HSBC Visa-High interest-£2349.23 Nat West £2605.18
    My Overdraft-£1500
    Barclaycard-1089.77
Marks and Spencer card- 3331.30 next 92.67
    Total was 11066.29 now £10,968.15

I am quite compulsive and when I get an idea into my head I hang onto it until I've achieved it.

I'm disappointed with myself as I've got no aim for today. The Mazuma cheque has gone into the bank but hasn't cleared yet and I've still not received the Envirophone cheque.

I have however made a packed lunch for work so will keep the spends down there and as its half term theres a saving with the kids. That's the trouble with me, I want something to be happening all the time.

    Catch you all later
