Hello GR and KP and a Happy New Year
Hoping to keep better track of 2010 using my diary and it's always good to hear what you guys have been up to.
GR that's one of my main reasons for saving, this year, a holiday to Center Parcs which I know can be expensive. So a holiday will be my major goal this year too
Really pleased to see you back on here. I do browse a lot but haven't done too well with posting so will try much harder.
Off to post on my diary now, yay it's just like old times :j

Hi Diz, fab to see you back. Just a quick post before I go to work, I'm doing a long day today from 8 am until 7 pm and I'm tired before I get there :)

Just a small update on the money-making - £15 from e-Bay which I'll add onto my total later tonight. Have just relisted the items that didn't sell, they are only on for 0.99 so not much profit there.

The food is going great. Have made a chicken salad for packed lunch today and have a jacket potato for my tea tonight. This is day 4 that I've cooked, I'm impressed with myself!

Hi GR...hope today wasn't too tiring for you. At least you'll enjoy a rest this evening. Hey well done with the cooking too. Much more healthier than ready made meals and cheaper I think.
Must get back into ebay when I can be bothered too. It all helps doesn't it.

Well had a good day in work today, got there about 7.40 and finished at 7.10 tonight. Took packed lunch with me so didn't have tp spend a penny. Have come home to my jacket potato which makes it another day that I've cooked. Have sorted tomorrow's dinner out, chicken and pasta, don't know about tea tomorrow night so that'll be something for me to think about tomorrow.

Have had confirmation from Mazuma today that my cheques are in the post but that's all the money making that has happened with me today. I've relisted the e-bay stuff that didn't sell so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it'll sell this time around.

Have made £16.49 on e-bay today and that's been paid so that increases my total again. Have also received the cheques from Mazuma so they'll be winging their way to the money-making account by first class mail tomorrow. Have currently got about 7 items listed on e-bay but no watcherts on any of the items :(

Am still doing well on the cooking front. Had chiucken and pasta for lunch and got vegetable curry and rice for tea which is just cooking now. Have had the same £10 in my purse for the last 2 days so am really pleased with myself there. Think that's all for the update for today, lunch tomorrow is spaghetti bolognaise but don't know what's planned for tea!

No money being made today, I have sold one item on ebay but that's only 0.99 and I've got a watcher on something thats going for £8, lets hope they sell. Didn't manage to get the Mazuma cheques in the post today as the snow was so bad, will ask DS to post them for me tomorrow.

Another cooking day for me today, spaghetti bolognaise for lunch and a bacon sandwich for tea. I've got soup planned for lunch tomorrow (that's if I can get into work) and will raid the cupboards for something for tea when I get home. I wish I could meal plan for the week but I just can't seem to get my head around it.

Finished work early and had a good post Christmas/New Year clean up of the living room. It's looking much better and all the decs have been put away for another year.

Hi GR Great news with the cooking still. Gives you a sense of achievement doesn't it, as well as not having to go through that mad panic when you don't know what to make for tea.
Sometimes it doesn't seem worth the bother when things only sell for 99p on ebay but, as we know, it all does add up eventually, so well done on the persevering.

Thanks for the support Diz, have sold one of DD's sundresses on e-bay today. Only sold for 99p but as you say every penny counts. Another good day on the cooking front - dinner consisted of soup and a bread roll and tea consisted of chicken in red wine sauce with a jacket potato. Have already got my tin of minnestrone soup for tomorrows dinner, don't know what's for tea but I have to go to Asda after work tomorrow so will probably pick something up then.

Also managed to post the Mazuma cheques today so they should be registering with the bank tomorrow.

Have just had a lovely hot bath so I'm sitting here waiting for Silent Witness, a good day all round.

Didn't post yesterday - didn't have a good day. I've not got any water - pipes frozen and apart from a few small other things that have gone wrong around the house i.e handle broken on front door so can't use it and kitchen cupboard door fell off it's really pulled my mood down.

Have managed to get Anglian to come and fix the front door but not until the 29th, it's under warranty so no worries about paying there but the lack of water is a real pain. Despite all this I'm still plodding on with the cooking. Had minestrone soup and a roll for dinner yesterday and cooked chicken and mushrooms for my tea last nigh so dispite all the mishaps I'm still going strong.

I love my house its really big and a lovely shape but it's old and it requires a lot of maintenance, and it's too much for me. Been dithering today about whether I should sell it and buy something more manageable but then I talk myself out of it by saying 'every house has its problems'.

    Decisions decisions.....
  • oh tough one. Any chance you doing a self fundraising drive for house repairs? Logic says move but I imagine its such a lovely house that it would be hard.

Sorry about the run of bad luck xx
