Hi KP, had a PM off Dizzy a few weeks ago she's treading water at the moment with regards to money and has very little motivation, a bit like me I think. Am going to catch up on your diary (but not today, as I'm having a weekend of sin!!!) and I'm going to make a conscious effort to keep posting.

    Speak soon. xxx

Well so much for me agreeing to post regularly on here. That's gone all to pot. Not had a very exciting week, everything seems to be plodding on. Have got a few claims in with reclaiming PPI on some old loans which I've not heard a dicky bird from and getting pretty restless now. Have referred some of them to the FO so I'm hoping they'll have some more success than me.

Well the kids are back in school next week and it's officially time to start concentrating on Christmas. I must admit I'm not doing too badly but there's always room for improvement.

Have got a busy few weeks coming up in work so I'm hoping I cn get some overtime in and bump my wages up. As I say everything seems to be plodding - a bit boring but sometimes it's nice being boring and having no stress :)

Have checked my Quidco this morning and I've been paid £124 for the month of August. Also been paid £9.49 from Amazon and have got a few items listed on e-bay (one of the items with 8 watchers and a starting bid of £50) so things are looking good there.

Not up to much this rainy Bank Holiday, in fact I haven't got much enthusiasm to do anything. Am trying to wean myself off the anti-depressants so don;t know if this is having an effect on my mood. Have decided I can't stay on them forever.

Hope everyone is having a good day. GR x
  • Good luck with that. I have managed to go down to 20mg from 40mg but things change so easily I dont think Im ready to drop again for a while. Are you going through the doc for support or just weaning yourself?

My mood still fluctuates easily so it could easy be just a mood swing rather than the drop so difficult to tell.

Sounds like things still going well great quidco total there. Yout xmas totals look good so a good xmas to look forward to without debt/money stresses :j

Hi KP, I'm weaning myself off. Everything in life seems to have settled down with me, happy in work and relationship so thought I'd try and come off them. I'm eating like a horse on them, I never seem to be full :)

I am plodding along with the totals nicely. Was a little bit miffed yesterday as I had a letter off Mint refusing to refund mis-sold PPI so I've sent them another letter off today threatening them with FO so hopefully I'll have a little cheque from them.

I can't believe the kids are back in school this week. Once they go back to school I always go into 'Christmas' mode and I don't feel as if I'm ready this year. It seems too early. Saying that I've been looking through the Avon catalogue tonight for some stocking fillers for DD. Every little helps.

I know what you mean about the mood swings, your obviously not ready to come off the tablets yet, but well done on halving the dose. One step at a time....

OK here we are again, a new year. Have managed to stay on the straight and narrow over Christmas and its the 1st of the month and there's enough money in the bank to cover the direct debits. Considering what I was once like that is one huge achievement.

My new years resolution this year is to cook more family meals. I currently only cook on a Saturday and Sunday when I stay down my partners and during the week it's like a cafe in my house so starting today this changes. I admit that now I'm back in work full time that I have very little time in the evenings to cook from scratch but I'm certainly going to try my hardest. How long it will last nobody knows.

On the money front I've currently gor £30 in the e-bay account, I'm awaiting a cheque of Mazuma for £28, have got about £43.80 in my silver jar and a whiskey bottle full of coppers which I'm not going to count yet so the start of the year sees me with £111.80. This is going to start my holiday fund for 2010 and that is going to be the aim of my money making for the next few months.

Wish me luck guys and Happy New Year to you all x

Hi KP. Happy New Year to you, glad to see your still plodding along with the debts, well done on your achievements so far.

Have just found another mobile that I can sed off to Mazuma netting me another £18 so I'm going to add that to my total.

A slight disappointment on the money front today in that I haven't made any yet. I have got 6 things ending on e-bay later tonight but not holding up much hope of making a massive amount.

I have been really good on the cooking front though, to night we are having lots of fresh salad with ham from the butchers (not the plastic type from the supermarket) and some lovely boiled new potatoes. Have also bought in all the meat and veg for a Sunday lunch tomorrow. So far so good :)
