Hi all,
Got up at 8am, checked my e-mails. Put a washing on, washed random dishes/cups from yesterday. Couldn't hang washing out as it was raining so hung it inside.
Had breakfast then got ready to go out.
Posted an Ebay item, recycled damaged carrier bags and glass at Morrisons.
Popped to Tescos to get my petrol.
Spent approx £15 in Tesco (still to add up my 3 receipts) on a pile of magazines, 2 x 2ltr value sparkling water, Tesco diet cola 2ltr, 1 x Tesco value birthday card, 1 X kELLOGS Bran flakes, 2 x baby short sleeve tops, 1 x baby hat and 1 baby short sleeve top and denim dress set. Used £3.50 in coupons.
All the baby clothes were bargains at 50p each and £2 for the 1 baby short sleeve top and denim dress set.
Got The Sun paper with a free Sun voucher and got 2 points added for re-suing a bag. Also got a till spit which I will try to use in my next shop.
Got a couple of till receipts with points added at customer services.
Found a 94 points Till receipt I will get added next time.
Went home then back out again as we were going to have lunch and watch football but Chicago Rock wasn't showing it.
Popped to Morrisons for DH snacks - he paid.
Went home, had lunch, cut out coupons from Bran flakes box and now watching football (well DH is) whilst I'm too busy on this website.:rotfl:Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)

Hi Everyone
Just a quick hello from sunny Spain, great again today after two days of very heavy rain, thunder, lightening, etc. but at least it knows how to clear up.
Hope everyone is ok and (((hugs))) and congrats where appropraite/wanted.
On an extremely slow dial up line - but beggars cant be choosers. Will try to get on again in a few days.

Hello everyone!! And welcome home ivyleaf!:D
Been having trouble with my internet and especially this site, but fingers crossed it seems to be holding at the moment;)
I've read the thread in so many snatches I've forgotten loads I'm afraid.
But ((((hugs))))) for the poorly ones, and special hug tired mum, hope you and DH are managing to sort something out.
Aussie, are you sure you could spare a lettuce in exchange for bananas?:rotfl: :rotfl: ( poor bloke was done!!!!! )
Hilstep, congratulations!!! (should be champagne) How exciting!
Shez hope you had a good lunch, sounds just what I need, a good pub lunch. Haven't been for one for some time.
Had a lovely morning. Nothing OS but took DGSs for a bike ride (DGS1) and a pushchair ride (DGS2) alongside the Thames. It's a nice river walk, and with the sun shining on the water, and just soooo peaceful, it was like being in the countryside rather than the city. (apart from the buildings on the other side of the river:rotfl: ) I'm a proper *city girl* but do enjoy tranquillity from time to time:D
Came back and watched the footie, and am now looking forward to the rugby. Come on England:T :T
Well best be off, enjoy your evenings,
CMxxx
PenPen, I see you've changed your avatar!!! That beautiful, elegant bird wouldn't be Mouse by any chance?:rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Afternoon all - am exhausted!
A funny thing happened on the way to dd's this am. it was still dark when I left and just outside the garden gate I heard snoring. It was a young lad propped up against a lampost fast asleep and snoring. I woke hi up and told him it was morning and that he should go home - only in a t-shirt poor thing. "I can't" he said "i've got to look after my friend Leon - he's there on the other side of the matchbox" "Well I think He's gone home now" I said - with that he jumped up and headed off home - probably got halfway up the road and banged his head against a wall for talking gibberish to an old lady at 6.45am
When I got to dd's I felt like Kim and Aggie - cleaned her bath, sink and toilet, did about 3 days worth of wasing up, cleaned out her WM soap drawer and took all the debris out from between the rubber seal, microwave freezer and fridge were disgusting too. She was late back which meant it wasn't worth going to the Town of Many Charity Shops so went to Borough market instead for an hour or two. Just as I got there she called to have a moan about how my bike had left marks on the carpet - well lady I think you'll just have to call the real kim and aggie next time. Actually I was a bit annoyed about the state of the kitchen and bathroom - my dgs lives there and it's bacteria heaven. Oh the shame of raising a slovenly daughter    Oh and dd had forgotten to tell me that dgs had a little friend over for a sleepover and that I was looking after him too. Luckily we know each other very well. He thinks my real name is Nana so that's what he calls me - his proper grandma is philipina and called something else.
Popped into lidl on the way home fro soem fruit and the makings of a meaty cooked breakfast as little veggie dd is away - yum
My work have signed us up to some discount scheme instead of a proper payrise so am just going to have a look at the offers to see if any of them can be incorporated into xmas presses
congrats to ms hilstep and mr osmond .... or have I got hte wrong end of the stickI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Evening all
Late post from me today, been a bit stressed for last couple of days.
Thursday eve I joined our local W.I. & was made very welcome, got home at 10ish & was asleep by 10:30, just after 12 or 1, lodger phoned from downstairs, she needed a copy of my phone bill, so I got up, to find that & it took me ages to get to sleep again & was up at 5 to take hubby to work. I spent all day Friday feeling like death warmed up. Today the lodger wanted to make a cake for a friends birthday so she took over the kitchen & had rap music playing at a painful level & warbling along with it, hubby & I went out to buy some fish food & stayed out for hours. At 4 I got a call from DD, DGS was screaming the place down with earache & she'd run out of Calpol, so I went to the chemist to get some & took it over to her. I stayed with them til DGS fell asleep & tidied up a bit for her as she's 6& half months pregnant & DGS wanted lots of cuddles, poor little soul. Once he dropped of we had a natter about her forthcoming wedding.
Hugs to PP GB & TM, don't worry about the bacteria stefejb, DGS will have a great immune system.
Hugs Hester

Hi all :hello:
Just typed quite a long post then closed the tab by accident
Anyway...
Hilstep - CONGRATULATIONS!
laurajayne - we have the same trolley, I think - it's either the same or the "opposite" one IYKWIM. Mine's the one that's mainly black with the top flap and "R" in pink
ancasta - hope you make the house livable soon! I'm sooooo pleased I'm not going through the moving thing any more...
I've just been chatting to Penny-Pincher's OH on MSN... she's in hosp (as you know) and quite unwell, but I'm going to text her in the morning and see if she'd be up for a visitor to cheer her up, as I'm practically round the corner from the hospital.
I've been watching the rugby (not sure if I'm allowed to say much about it here, in case there are folks who don't want to know the result yet...) and then realised More4 were showing a repeat of The Crystal MazeI LOVED that show... was it really 15/18 years ago
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape
