O/S Daily Thread for Saturday 13th October

Options
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 13th oct. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Good Morning All
This is my 2nd attempt at the thread, started it on my laptop, but it decided to shut down on me. so Im resorting back to the best method - the PC!

Ive been awake for nearly 3hrs now, fed up with listening to OH snoring, so here I am. Despite me being shattered last night & going to bed at 9.30m, its made no difference. OH got face on, cos I was leaving him on his own.

Hopefully if weather holds out today, OH plans to do a car boot - (Good - get him out of my hair.)
Housework needs to be done.
Bedding needs changing
Washing also
Kids stuff to iron & pack for their wk end with their dad
Craft stuff needs a sort out, as well as old ebay unsold items.

DD made the school councilor position y-day! She's really pleased & excited about that.
DS made it through to the next round in the schools talent competition.

Sold an item on ebay last night, 3rd time its been sold & relisted, due to peope not reading the description carefully, and realising afterwards, its not suitable. This bloke had better come this a-noon as he stated, otherwise I can feel a neg coming on!

I hope if I get some more sleep, I wake up in a better mood.

Hello to everyone who follows - Have a nice wk end.
Love Emma xxx

I'm joining in with your late night/early morning!
Can't sleep - hubby snoring the same as yours
And today is the start of another chapter on life here down at the farm... our youngest DD moved out yesterday into a new home along with her boyfriend... after 26 years I suppose it is time :) .... but it's going to seem very strange not having her around.

Does this mean that I am finally a grown-up? :):):)

Morning. I woke up early and found that I just can't stay in bed. Never have been able to. I like bed in the evening but not morning.

Fishing was great yesterday. Warm, flat and enjoyable. Did not catch too many fish, but it was a nice day out all the same.

Got friends up for lunch later, so first have to drop my son to Mc D's for his shift and then get some shopping in, so we can feed our guests.
We are out tonight with other friends, who are cooking for us. Shaping up to be a great day.

    Good morning everyone,

Brilliant day here. I wish it was like this over summer. Got all the washing finished but ironing pile is now like everest. Hope to take DGS to the beach tomorrow. HIgh tide is due around 11am so will be nice to take him around morning tea and be back for lunch. DH did some borders around the front path for me. I'll plant out later in the week when I have more time.

Curry puffs for tea with salad & made a banana custard. Bloke behind us gave us some banana's from his tree today. Fair exchange for a lettuce. :D

Hope you all have a nice day & hugs to those under the weather. Byeeeeeeeee

    Morning everyone.
Lots of you cant sleep today, hope you get a good night tonight.

Dh just gone to work, hes trying to do as many saturdays as possible for extra money over xmas, plus we are hoping to book hoilday for summer 09 early next year.
Tonight got ds friends round for his belated party, so this morning is going to be spent baking, my friend has made him a football pitch cake that he doesnt know about, and im making lots on buns, biscuits (hob-nob of cause) and cakes, not doing a full spread just picky nibbly bits and bobs.

And before they all arrive around 6pm i need to wash and iron uniforms and have a good clean up.
Hope you all have a great day, and hugs to all.

    Morning all.

Busy day today. Off food shopping with the kids and my dad in a minute which is always an experience. Then got to sort the house as had a bit of a lazy day yesterday. Also going to wash dd uniform so its not a mad rush like every other week.

Need to sort some paperwork as well which I made a start on yesterday.

Since when did weekends become so much fun!

    See you all later x
