no scart on new tv

You could have bought a new Panasonic with a SCART fitted, they can still be found....0

Make and model of TV? Take a look at the documentation that came with the TV, it will tell you what connections there are at the rear.
However, I think you should take up the suggestions to buy a used Sky HD box, or a Freesat box. Then an HDMI lead to fit.I think this job really needs
 a much bigger hammer.

Have a look at the other sockets on your new TV they usually have RGB or a mini jack that will take a Scart cable adapter:0

Get a BT Youview DTR-T2100 set top box from Ebay. They are around £50 and will do freeview including HD channels as well as recording without needing to subscribe to anything. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. As advised above check the connections. Many modern TVs have satellite tuners, they don't even mention it in the advertising and blandly just state DVB-S on the box whilst making a big show of Freeview !0

you can get a scart to RF converter and use the aerial socket in the tv

I use this to send my virgin signal round the house0

Why bother buying a nice new TV and then ruining the experience by feeding it with a bodged analogue signal? As said above by the time you've spent money on adapters and other messing around you could probably buy a second hand digital satellite box. Thats what I'd recommend anyway.0
