Ridiculous Parking charge

The problem is that every time someone pays one of these fake fines it just encourages the scammers to continue.0

You decided to park in a random business's car park somewhere near a station, and didn't pause to think "Maybe they won't actually welcome a non-customer parking on their land."
Then you looked surprised when you found out that, actually, no, they didn't welcome it one bit. Maybe, just maybe, they're a bit hacked off at customers finding their facilities unavailable due to mickey-taking random passers-by. Like you.
Oh, and turn your engine off. Don't be a total pillock. I know it's one of the main signs of somebody self-centred, along with abusing other people's parking facilities, but try not to go for the hat trick.
Oops. Wait a sec. You already did, by complaining about how unfaaaaaair it all is.0 -
Actually Adrian Parking Lie DO want non-customers to park there. It's the only way they make any money.0

Seems pretty clear to me.
So you're "eco aware" yet dismiss criticism of your 17 minutes sitting there with the engine running as "environmental claptrap." Right.
Maybe if you weren't wasting time finding other people's posts to litter with your agenda, you wouldn't need to power or charge your PC/Laptop/Ipad/phone and save even more energy.
Or are the schools on holiday?0 -

Out if interest why is it a scam?
is it because the charge is far too high (not going to disagree with that) or,
because the invoice was issue incorrectly (does not appear to be in this case) and the appeal process is stacked against the driver or,
the issue of a invoice in the first place is wrong as we should be able to park where we wish?
I received one many years ago for parking in a company car park, yes I also missed the signage, and was mucho annoyed until it was pointed out I only parked there to avoid having to pay in the pay and display park across the street.0 -

Perhaps you'd also like to consider the cost and environmental effect of charging a laptop battery with running a car engine for 17 minutes for no reason? But hey, why let some quantitative work get in the way of your "you're not very green yourself" argument.
Gotta dash, my GCSE assignment's due by 3pm and I can't waste any more time educating you.0 -

"Ridiculous parking charge"? Quite right, it was ridiculous parking.
I read it as didnt want to use train station car park as you have to pay so tried to park in hotel one for free.0 -

What is the scam? If a scam then report to Police.0
