Couple of make-up tips I've used when desperate !
Mascara nearly empty or drying up - stand the unopened container (brush down) in about 2 inches of hot water and leave for a few minutes, it works.
Lippy, get the last dregs of your favourite colour from the bottom with a lip brush.
Sorry if these have been posted earlier.0 -
This is probably stating the obvious to all you "Old Style Long Timers"
but I thought it may help other Newbie's like myself.
Get a little note book to write down all the recipe's you like the sound of.
Just spent 2 hours reading the Store Cupboard Challenge thread...
...and a further 2 hours going back over the thread to write down the tasty ideas I want to try out !!
Luckily the weather here has been so awful here this afternoon that I dont feel guilty!

Even easier just download Google notebook and cut and paste recipes as you surf, to print any time you want. It's all stored in cyberspace so you can access or save your recipes from any computer with internet access.0

I always keep lipstick in the fridge it seems to make it last longer .Also superglue as it stops it from going to hard I hate it when you.ve only used the tube once, and it sets like cement .
my late ma-in-law swore by boiled lemenade or at a pinch suger water for a tickly throat/cough.
Plus I have always kept a little notebook to jot down my shopping bits on .I found one the other day from 1967, and my shopping list for food for a week came to just over £4.00. 17/6d for a leg of lamb (about 78p) !!!0 -

Dont buy your food...........Steal It
Break into somebodies house and use thier loo instead..
take your dirty laundry to your local currys and ask for a demonstration of a washing machine..
hitch lifts instead of using your own car..
when in the pub offer to collect the empties and drink the last little bit in the bottom..
stand next to a smoker and inhale their smoke
use the sample pieces of carpet to carpet your living room..
ask your local council to install a street light right outside your house and use that as your living room light..
steal a cow from a field and keep it in the fridge for free milk..
usea magnifying glass and the sun to warm your bath water..THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -
