Fill the pan to about a cm depth with water, add a cup of white vinegar and bring to the boil. Take off the heat and add 2 tablespoons of baking powder (be careful as the mixture will fizz). Empty the mixture from the pan and clean as normal.GC: Feb (16th Jan - 15th Feb) £46.25 / £50

For tubes of beauty cream/ hair removal once you have squeezed out as much as possible, cut the end off and get all the product on the tube itself.Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0

Buy reduced bread and freeze. If you have no freezer space, keep it in the fridge to slow down mould growth.
Poached eggs - bring water to the boil in a pan, add a splash of vinegar and poach on high heat for 30 seconds to one minute. Then switch off hob and leave for 5 minutes or until the egg is as well done as you like.
(Shallow water and eggs straight from the fridge reduce the spread of the white)
Keep old candle bits to remelt (in a double broiler to prevent the wax bursting into flames) into a new candle. Use wax-coated string as a wick.
Use cheap freezer bags to re portion food you freeze as soon as you buy it e.g. Split an 8 pack of sausages into 4 lots of 2, freeze grated cheese for cooking in handfuls etc“I want to be a glow worm, A glow worm's never glum'Coz how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?" ~ Dr A. I don't need anything but a razor to shave, as long as my body is warm from shower or bath. I use jojoba oil to moisturise afterwards.
I have an airer, use doors and coat hangers to hang washing inside, only use tumble dryer for finishing off towels and softening clothes for 5 minutes.
I use sugar as a body scrub.
I too use lentils and vegetables to bulk out meals.
Soda crystals are my new friends thanks to this site.
Thanks to everyone for all the great tips, it's really helped us.0 -

If you can buy nearly everything that's reduced or that is going off soon and freeze it you will save alot of money.
GO TO POUND SHOPS!!! you will save alot of money trust me, I work in a well known supermarket and half of the stuff is cheaper at pound shops even with a staff discount.
Don't always get branded items because supermarket or shops own are cheaper and do the trick.0 -

I wind mine around the box they came in as it was driving me to distraction trying to get them back inside the said box! I have continued to do this ever since!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Need a bit of wine in a recipe but don't want to open a bottle as it won't get drunk (as if!), follow this tip from Nigella at 20:58 in the video, ie use Vermouth as it keeps for a long time, like sherry etc.
