    Good afternoon lovely peoples

Glad to read that peeps and peepettes are being sensible about travelling in these severe conditions that face many :A

    My cake is baked!

My Christmas Cake, oh what a beauty,
Moist and sweet and very fruity.
    A centrepiece for celebrations,
    When finished off with decorations.

Soaked the fruit for over a week,
In half a bottle of my Knob Creek,
Mixed with love and a wooden spoon,
Baked in the oven all afternoon.

Prepare for Christmas as if it’s your last,
    Remember all the Christmases past,
Memories of the years roll by,
My! how quickly time does fly.

Thank you my friends of the Elite,
The nicest people one could meet,
    Supportive, warm and very funny,
Not only that - they save you money!

    Aww bootiful :A

Had a lovely lunch out in London with some crazy cat lady friends yesterday. There was some sort of Santa convention going on and they were everywhere :xmassmile

Don't think so bubbs, I have tried in 4 Stores over the last two weeks or so and they are not in any of those.
I have already messaged 3Dogs about it.

Yes thanks Fred, I've taken them off the list now :T

OH & I spent the morning yesterday removing the gas fire and fitting a temporary Electric one ( till we decide about a new fireplace ) and when he was hoovering it out he found my original engagement ring that has been missing for over 25 years. He nearly hoovered it up. Think it may be a sign we have done the right thing moving back in together.

What a sign rose, a lovely timely find. Fate played it's hand :j

I have managed to get out today, first to A for an additional, final go at the Birds Eye Chicken Dippers that are due to end in T tomorrow. I firstly checked Google maps and had it claiming the journey time would be around the same time as normal. It wasn't too bad - it took some time to prepare the car but the council seems to have gritted all the main roads around here (some of them probably because they are bus routes) and it was only my own street that hasn't been gritted. I also visited a Morrisons store but not the one I had originally thought that, if I went out at all, I would go to - I decided that the roads to another would be better and the car park would be free, so I would not be having to park ages away and then walk. In hindsight, the store I went to is probably a better store as it has a range the original one doesn't have, although still missing lots of stuff that today I won't be able to see - but not to worry as it's only Monday.

This is a partial update this time. I may not have seen all that has changed today as it is just a quick look in one store. With that caveat aside, here are some of the changes.

The Mout Cider mbuy in M has changed from 2 for £15 to 2 for £17, so last is probably last chance to see if the APG has the expired pricing. The Trail Mix 200g for Avs M has gone from £1 to £1.26 in M and the Jacob's Biscuits for Cheese (300g) at M - not available at A but notionally better than comparing another pack size from Avs M - "notionally" because it depends on how you are paying - have gone up from £1 to £1.50. The hope now, other than finding an M that has the now incorrect (believed to be now incorrect) price of £1 on the shelf, for trying to get the £1 price on this item is having to buy it with at least nine other different items:( in T and hoping that the prices from today in M haven't already been updated (this could well already have happened unfortunately).

The two frozen Quorn products (Bacon Slices and Sausage Patties) that had £1 until today, have now gone to regular price £1 in M, for now, it seems. The Doughballs and Garlic Flatbread are also apparently staying at £1 and have now been joined by one of the Garlic & Herb twin baguettes but not the other that is still on full price.

At least one of the two 500ml Listerine Mouthwashes, that were showing me £1.50 in several stores before and presumably were that price, is now full price and I think both probably are. The one I don't have stock of today is also not online but I think the offer has ended in M.

Whole Salmon has gone to £5/Kg. but I don't know if that's any good as it seems M is drawing a lot of attention to that item:rotfl:. Sandwich board outside my store, big offer label on the fish counter and an appearance in the "headline" items on m.com.

I have decided all the £15 1L alcohol bottles from before are still £15 instore (which is where the APG gets M prices from). (I have an offer label on one that says £16 but I don't think that is the correct price and the bottle is still pictured on the promotional material with £15 price on it.)

The Milkybar and Rolo desserts have gone back to £1 but that shouldn't work yet on the APG as it will still be on Wednesday and that should be £2 each back then. Again they won't work yet if they were not showing the current price last week but, nearly last but certainly not least, a lot of John Frieda items have gone to £4 each in M (although they should be against W at that price, unless that price only began today in W in which case it should be wait another day).

I think I am taking the Dettol Power & Fresh 500ml at £1:eek: from Tvs M onto some Dettol Power & Fresh 1L triggers (but don't get excited - they are not of the more favourable type) for A, currently nice £4, vs M £2:eek: purely because of the 10%.

For completeness, the only other items I have for M new today are a Lancashire Farm Probiotic Yogurt (500g) at 80p and Zoflora 250ml at £2. Everything else seems to be staying the same.

    That's it - that is today's update.

Good afternoon, been lovely sunny but very cold today
I have a puzzle and wonder if anyone can help?
I have missed a Royal Mail special delivery guaranteed letter 3 times
I have had it re-directed etc, but still missed it
Now it seems it has been returned to sender, but I have no idea what it is or who it is from
I was wondering if anyone on here won something and got a special delivery around Nov 20th?
I have no idea who sent it, and so no idea where it has gone, nor do Royal Mail
all I know it originated in the Birmingham area
anybody got any suggestions? Please! xx

    PAH!!! Stupid parcel win thing!!!
Did 4 shops, and tried to check inside my parcel, and each time it said there was a problem, and to try to open my parcel again. It still would not work, so thought I would wait until I got some wifi incase my data had ran out...Nope, no parcels there now to open, 4 shops down the drain!
I had this the other day with envelopes not opening, but they were there when I got home and connected to wifi.

Since then I've started opening them all at home just in case.
Just one 3 Gweggy for me today.
