Some nice offers this week using the sainsbobs tab

Jakemans sweets honey and lemon 60p - 30p cashback (on the receipt it says H&L so its not worth risking the wrong flavour
    Tilda rice 250g any flavour 80p - 50p cashback
Napolina pasta sauce anykind £1 - 50p cashback
Napolina pasta 50/50, some are £1, wasn't sure if I had the right version but its been accepted - 50p cashback

so a £3.40 spend with £1.80 cashback, not free but all useful storecupboard things and my receipt was accepted in a few hours

There is also something called BOB fat free milk with 35p cashback - this only works out at 5p dearer than bog standard milk so it might be worth a taste test to try ( also looks quite posh in your fridge for the pre- Christmas guests :) )

Tesco now available to ALL on GJ, not just testers. Just update the App.

OH & I spent the morning yesterday removing the gas fire and fitting a temporary Electric one ( till we decide about a new fireplace ) and when he was hoovering it out he found my original engagement ring that has been missing for over 25 years. He nearly hoovered it up. Think it may be a sign we have done the right thing moving back in together.

    love it, well done

10 items (8 different) on your receipt qualify for comparison Asda tesco
    1x ASDA Grower's Selection Sweetclems (600g) £0.85 £0.79
    1x Hula Hoops Original Potato Rings (6x24g) £1.45 £0.80
0.17x ASDA Grower's Selection Loose Banana (order by number of bananas or select kg) (per kg) £0.13 £0.12
1x Heinz Beef Ravioli in Tomato Sauce (400g) £1.07 £0.75
1x ASDA Smart Price Still Spring Water (2l) £0.17 £0.17
3x Heinz Spaghetti with Sausages in Tomato Sauce (400g) £3.21 £2.25
    1x Jacob's Original Mini Cheddars (7x25g) £1.65 £1.00
    1x Birds Eye 24 Crispy Chicken Dippers (440g) £2.50 £1.50
Comparison total (compared products only) £11.03 £7.38
    +£3.65 cheaper

Usual triggers - Heinz L&B and Ketchup crisps.
I am now temporarily able to buy bananas on my shop without getting "Value not met" as I am using a GC from an overcharge from before.

When I work it out, mostly afterwards:doh:, almost everything still seems overpaid for though:eek:. The Clementines - quite small packs to me - 10% off 79p:eek:, often they or Satsumas (which are exactly the same use to me) are cheaper than that in Aldi or Lidl - and some were vs £1 bogof in M years ago (probably 800g back then and not now 600g).

Hula Hoops now just 6 in the pack:( instead of 7 - used to have offers of 87p on 7 pack in M years ago, therefore 50 and two thirds pence divided by 6 multipled by 7 = over 59p:eek:, surely barely better than 10% off 87p?! I get 2p extra:( on the APG due to the 10% on the Mini Cheddars - only because T's price for those is higher than it is for the 6 pack:( of Hula Hoops. The Mini Cheddars themselves - only 175g:(, as opposed to 200g cartons from M at 50p after the whole Christmas season is over (or if they arrived in your store long enough before it began - 50p all year round except for the Christmas season:rotfl:) - the guide therefore, for just 175g, is 43.75p - still seems to be an overpayment, even with the 10%:rotfl:.

Bananas - obviously we had price increases per kg. on those. The water - paying for water:eek:? The Chicken Dippers - old packs were 50p in A (and supposedly also S) and 81p I think in T whilst they were being phased out - I dug down into the freezers to avoid the new 28 pack and retrieve some 24s ages ago. Now having to compare against £1.50:eek::eek:.

The Ravioli though - I am glad my A was OOS of SP Ravioli some time ago and then the product disappeared altogether, and also that I haven't bought Savers Ravioli in M at 39p:eek:, as I think the Heinz, now, works out better.

Although I get 2p from the 10% off £1 instead of 10% off 80p, for the Mini Cheddars, and A's individual price for those is also 20p higher so it gains and loses nothing compared to Hula Hoops, it still seems to work out at about 51p per item in the 3 for £3 though:(.

8 different items:) - you could say "saved by a banana"; however that was always on my shopping list for this shop, with there intended to be 8 items appearing, and I just had to make sure 8 appeared.

Just bumping this up for anyone who missed it - there was a banner on the website this morning but I cant find it now.

£2 - we got the free ones from shopimum, just used the last of them up, OH likes them - no accounting for taste :)
I've got five £1 Iceland vouchers to spend :T which I got after a complaint I made about their bonus card - sadly too late for the cheese offer :)
