I did, thanks, had a birthday cake made for me for the first time since I was a kid!
Mr Grumpy Old Git managed not to be grumpy for most of the day!:T
He even made me breakfast, well coffee and toast.

We went out for a cheap and cheerful meal with a couple who we have known for ages, but never been out with before and had a great night.

Many of these items will be sold out of many Ms now I suspect - they are the old versions as M now has new range at full prices. A few remaining old versions may be available in some Ms and may now be found on cheaper store specific prices than these as the stores try a final clearance on them. They may have been removed from the kitchen area and now stay on RTC shelves elsewhere in stores, potentially for several months, with one random product turning up every now and then, if they get pushed to the back of the shelf and either not discovered by any shopper or lack a price label (in latter case probably still national RTC price as no store-specific cheaper yellow label).

I might be wrong but I think he can carry on applying for placements until he finds one he wants or until just before he needs one.
Ideally it would be good to get something sorted before exams whenever they are ...and I think there is a continual roll out of different opportunities every few months.

DS shared a flat at Uni with a guy who had a placement at Sellarfield, They are still in touch 20 years on! What I found odd was that when doing the laundry on one of trips home there was a pair of 'Sellarfield' boxers .. seems when they change to go into those iffy places they even have to change their underwear, which is/was provided!!
Also older brother once visited there and while he was at the gatehouse all sorts of alarms started sounding, gate man said that he better get in quick before 'shutdown' he really wanted to be as far away as possible!
