    Morning paw sniffers:D

There are are some brands I will compromise on and others that I'm brand loyal to.

I don't think price is the only factor. Taste is more important to me:D

Michaels...it was me that disliked the Betty Cocker frosting. It tasted of saccharine :D

I have yet to try the pizza brand:eek:

    1st November:eek:.........it was only June last month:o

Mystifies me as to why people stuck on brands such as Heinz:rotfl:.

Why not 'value' ketchups? Are they still not cheaper even after price on Heinz that is being discontinued?

(I think there is something I am missing:rotfl:.)

In our case the kids are weird  They can tell and prefer Heinz One child will eat dry bread as he does not like butter/spread/jams etc

Managed to escape from the hospital yesterday so now back home.
Have to sleep on my back for a while  Back was hurting so come downstairs and sat in armchair catching up . Looks like I missed lots. Might be able to do the £5 off Esso thing though or has it expired. Will have a look again.
DD here from Oz land. She was rooting through the cupboards and found some homepride sauces that expired this year march and wants to chuck them out :eek:
Oh well could be worse :D

Glad you're home :D I will never forget one time we went on holiday and left DD here alone, she decided to clear out my fridge, had loads of cheese in there maturing and she decided to throw it our just because it was several months out of date  I had some brie in there that was just coming good too  I nearly shot her, it takes ages to get brie like that :rotfl::rotfl:

IMHO too many people are relying on the tax free lump sum to clear their mortgages. Any government is going to be wary of doing anything that will cause a load of people to have a mortgage that needs redeeming with no way of clearing it.

I'm mid 50s and the number of friends who took out interest only mortgages 25-30 years ago that they have no way of clearing other than lump sums or inheritance is worrying. The great theory of downsizing has been blown out of the water by kids who haven't moved out while they save for their own futures. These mortgages originally had endowments attached, but either the endowments didn't produce enough or the untangling of endowments from mortgages left a pot of money that people used for home improvements/ debt reduction/ support for their kids....

I think Birmingham Midshires might have done us a favour, we had an endowment mortgage and then fell behind on it. We were picking ourselves up again and checking things, and realised we had not had an endowment statement, turned out when we fell behind they stopped paying it (they were due to pay the first X years)(and all this was in their T&Cs so they did nothing really wrong apart from not telling us). We had a go at them as they did not tell us, we could so easily have got to the end and found we had no policy to cover it  Anyway, as it turned out it would not have got close to covering it, and at that point we swapped to a repayment mortgage, kind of gave them no choice but to let us, and we are sitting pretty now with the mortgage paid off. :D

Feels a bit like swimming against the tide, you feel like you are getting somewhere but in reality you are not.!
    Quoted from mhoc....

Son and I were discussing similar last night. It costs a fortune to just stand still.

    Good morning.

Pinch, punch, first of the month. White rabbits etc :).

New month resolutions required (a year is too big to grapple with :D). Mine is to get through more items on my to do list at home and in work - some have been on there for a while :o. Oh ... and less time procrastinating ;).
