Being a bit of a dinosaur with technology, I wouldn't have a clue with Hive :o

I still use them here and there when away (bathroom) and in lounge on TV/lights, even though my neighbour comes and closes/opens curtains/blinds.

When we were burgled back in 2009, policeman advised timers in bathroom, lounge lights/tv and kitchen not the landing/hall as obvious.
I have one that I plug the slow cooker into if I go out too early to turn it on, some things need less than all day to be cooked right.

Thank you, both. The bathroom is a good idea but I am reluctant to put lights in the lounge or kitchen as anyone looking in could see that the rooms are empty. I'm not so sure about the upstairs landing. The first time I had a timer there it was incorporated into the light switch and my friendly local electrician installed it. When I was next away he called and was very disconcerted not to get a reply when he rang the doorbell. The landing light had convinced him I was in, even though he had installed the timer! :rotfl:

The slow cooker is a good idea too, though the Instant Pot has a keep warm function which does that too.

Am I the only one who is struggling to keep up? These odd £2.50 for £2.50 deals on Q etc just catch me out - I need time to get sorted, not respond instantly :(. I also want reassurance that the previous ones that I used with W1lko pay out, or they turn out to be not so cheap toilet rolls :o.

    Afternoon all

Quidco seem to have been having a tidy-up as 3 lots of Wilko cashback have been confirmed by email from both accounts - from May and June purchases.
Have to have a look now to see if there was bonuses associated with them and if they match up with calendar reminders.

I agree about not being able to keep up with all the offers!

I, too, have had three lots of Wilko cashback confirmed on my Q account though I won't believe it until I actually see the cash. I've not had an email except one saying that I was too late to make a claim as it was past their query window. I did get an email from W today saying: we cannot change the status of the orders. I will flag this with our web team to see if they can do something to change the process.

So disappointed picked up 2 rtc deli sausage rolls, warmed one up for my lunch only to discover no sausage inside, they are bloomin cheese and onion ones.

I very much hope that you email them, not pointing out they were rtc. I'm lactose intolerant and that would have meant no lunch for me!

My brother was planning to serve up a rtc morello cherry pie from M the other day and it was a meat pie! I told him to email, but no idea if he did.

I was in T last night about 9 pm and a lovely young SA put six packs of crisps through without any problem. I'd been going to do three and come back and do another three but then was just too tired. She just said 'these coupons are great'!

If anyone is still dithering as to wether to do the Nectar Nero offer - spend 1000 and get 5 free hot drink vouchers

    DO iT NOW :D

as the offer expires tonight - the QPR codes are valid until December 2019 so you get 14 months to use them.

The vouchers go into your virtual wallet on your desktop or nectar app so its better than paper vouchers and you cant loose them (although I have make a note of the numbers as a back up system)

Its also meant that I updated the nectar app on my phone and uploaded the app onto OHs fancy new phone - not really used the app before so its another new experiences and also I've not used a virtual wallet either.

So 10 coffees for £10 and it will also give me enough loyalty stamps on my card so in reality 11 coffees for £10.
It will be useful when 00002 have there BOGOF cake or panni offers or similar.

And a good back up if the worst happen and 000002 stop giving us a free drink each week - wuntooo seem not to be doing free costalot drinks at the moment - I am wondering if its because they were sold to coco-cola.
Our Neros is very dog friendly so you get to meet lots of cute doggies and you get to chat to random strangers :)
    And free wi fi
