Jeremiah_T_Stone wrote: »That's a coincidence, I have a huge, free range organic chicken for today's roast - most expensive chicken I've ever bought, so expections are high. Any tips will be greatly appreciated.
I may as well try my most expensive cheddar tonight. I made it last March and it has been maturing nicely in my "cave"
Taking into consideration the cost of the kit ( I haven't made any more since
) it works out over £100 per kilo
Did you pay full price for the chicken :eek: Hope the cheddar turns out well, have never even considered making cheese!Jeremiah_T_Stone wrote: »Good morning shipmates
Hugs to HILLBERN :A Please look after yourself
My legs are stiff this morning, must be due to spending 2 hours up a stepladder in the garage, replacing a single light socket with an LED strip light. I thought it would take 30 minutes, but there's always unexpected complications when I do DIY
How on earth did that take 2 hours :rotfl::rotfl:
I'm not cooking dinner today, we are out for dinner, all free
As for chicken, we rather like the cook in the bag ones you get from Lidl (stock up when I see them 30% off), they really do taste quite nice and the method eliminates washing up

Hillbern, just re-read your posts, not a good time. Hopefully that is your run of bad done for a while, after that you really deserve something really good to happen so fingers crossed xxWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

Hillbern, sorry you've had such a rough time. Who's house is it you stay at when you go baby sitting? I thought it was your sons until you said you slept on an air bed.
Gusto didn't disappoint again last night, we had burritos yum yum.
Tonight is chicken tray bake, all I've added is some extra chicken but I stand corrected the portions are plenty big enough. Tbh I think I still cook the same amount as when dd was at home but I usually have some left over which I take to work the next day. As I said to sunflower last night as we exchanged food photos, if only we could always get them at this price we would never need to shop :rotfl:
Yes I am at my sons, but they live in a 1 bedroom apartment, (I couldn't live like it) but it works at the moment for them and its a very friendly area.
I have a mattress on the floor in the lounge not ideal but I put up with it...
I had an areo mattress which was great but that's got a leak and I haven't had time to check it out and mend it...so son bought 1 from t directhad that 1 night that went down sent back refunded as faulty, so at the mo I have a deflated 1/2 price cheapy from t...really comfy when air in it, so I have that to check out and hopefully mend...as we cant keep collecting inflatable mattresses :rotfl:0 -
