Fantastic walk by the river today, saw the normal heron, swans, ducks etc, but also saw reed buntings and a kestrel :D
Mine are ready for collection - is it mean to think I will wrap them for Xmas for OH....:D:D:D:D

Thanks for the reminder.... I need it as there is none near me.... I may have to have a trip out...:T:T:T

I would wrap them for Christmas, less than 6 months away :D

This month Ive got to get another cat carrier - ideally using up gift cards or Amazon. Ive put a message in Freecycle but thats a long shot.
And the other major event is the car insurance is due :(

    Morning all.

Feels hotter than ever this morning.

I too have fallen for the coupon trap having bought 2 Sun newspapers for the Lidl coupons. Spent over £70 saving £9 but only wanted a bottle of gin and dishwasher salt!

I was very good and only bought one newspaper. Stocked up on kitchen rolls and washing liquid (I like their own brand 2 in 1) and a couple of other bits :)

I am quite impressed with the kitchen roll its as good as the expensive brands.
Also bought 2 loo brushes but don't want to bring that debate up again. :rotfl:

Took mum to visit care home and :dance::dance: Wednesday after work she will be moving in :j:j:j

Was there with mum and Hilary nearly 2 hours had a :coffee: and tour went all over and mum chose her room :D

We also stopped and chatted to staff and other inmates  :rotfl::rotfl:

Mum even knows were she will be sitting for her tea on Wednesday and met the couple she will be sitting with a lovely married couple.

Mum seemed a lot happier she would have stayed ;)

Got taxi back to old care home but went in pub first  and had our dinner and mum had a pot tea she said that was 2 lovely cups she had had that day in pub and new care home :T:T:T

I have left her enough clothes in old home and fetched others home to wash even though they clean they will smell better blowing dry on the line :D
Oh Tweets, that's such great news, and, a huge relief for you.

Did any of you see the programme Monday I think it was. They were saying that these computer criminals are targeting nectar points now  Ok apparently nectar refund them but still.

I had almost £300 waiting for when you can double them up which isn t very often hence the £300. So I went to Argos today and changed some for £100 worth of vouchers :D

I struggle to use up £50's worth of Nectar points, but I tend to 'check out'most things asap, just in case!

My BF, who I have converted to more savvy money saving in the last 9 months, is leaving everything she earns in the various accounts for Christmas. I totally understand that, but choose not to risk it.

Depends if he can manage till then. :D

He can............. he is the only person I know who insists on totally wearing clothes out and then wearing them for another 3 years afterwards!

I recently noted that he had been wearing a t-shirt that I was bought for my 18th birthday.... it was ripped under the arms and on the back neck... but to him it was perfectly useable. The friend who bought me the t-shirt was :eek::eek: and reminded him it was over 30 years old... he did not care and continued to wear it.... until I ripped the back of it open. It is now in the rag bag as according to OH it still has use!

DS1 asked if he could 'lend' our toilet brush......:eek::eek::eek:

I went to Tesco and bought him one!

Not sure if this was some strange psychological manipulation but it worked!

    :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Just walked the dog and picked a huge bag of cherries.

If we get some rain brambles will be ready in 2 weeks :T:T:T:T:T
