Just noticed I have an email from Revolut offering me a free card if I top up £10 by midnight tomorrow. I signed up in December for buying an XBox game using an overseas site - not sure if I need it but seem to recall it is good for overseas purchasing?

    Signed up anyway.

May be of use (and more widely available?) for some of our Elite explorers.

For future reference, I used to use Revolt all the time, but now have a Starling Bank account, as its even better for when I go away.

For the second week in a row Sains have got the better of me:o

I think I'll put the rest of my conditional spends in the bin.

I needed a bottle of that Baileys Strawberries and Cream for a friend, so only needed £14 to get to my £30.

So I purchased stuff I don't really need to get cashback to reach £30.

Of course I totally forgot that alcohol doesn't count:o

Now I've got a quick turnaround to get ready for a party. I know I'll be fine when I get there but I really can't be bothered. I just want to sit in the garden with fizz:o

    Later peeps:D

Again - like pulling teeth to try to save money and so easy to make your voucher almost valueless. (In fact it was clearly valueless - or worse - actually costing me money:eek: - as my car journey to Farmfoods is a nominal 50p per journey so, that's now lost all the remaining 15p and paid 35p petrol more:(:(:(:p.) I should have stuck to Heron Foods, within walking distance, for the spread and not bought the Surf powder at all. Although we would then need some washing powder, so I'm not sure how that works out. Maybe just the £9.99 box +50p nominal petrol cost on visiting Farmfoods when it went to that and not bothering to use these costly cond.spend vouchers at all, that get you to spend more than you would have done.

I think that's the point (posted by me in a later post when I was writing about something else).

I just watched Flatliner in N0wTV ... that is not going to help me sleep .

Just to add ... out of all the classic 90s movies, this is one I had not watched again, and now I know why :o.

    Easily spooked .

Agree about conditional spends - I tend to pass them along these days as I can never justify spending so much at once. I even have issues with the one I keep getting from the Co-op - spend £4 get 50p off

I wish they would go back to giving me 50p off specific items.

The other thing I cant figure is that in many shops I am using gift cards or credit vouchers but otherwise most of my shops are under a fiver aside from odd things like petrol, Aldi restocks, winter coal, vets bills etc
... in which case why are the credit card bills so high each month :rotfl:

I have just got student prime.

Its quite easy. If you don't have a student email address you have to email them. I did 2 scans of my blue card back and front and I then sent it off as an attachment to the special email address and they got back to me the same day.
They give you another link to fill in the form with your normal email address. You have 14 days to do this - I had to time mine just right for the last minute Christmas orders - you get 6 months free and after this prime is at a reduced rate.

Thanks mhoc. I shall try that when I am back from my holiday.

    Morning all!
