Took mum to visit care home and :dance::dance: Wednesday after work she will be moving in :j:j:j

Was there with mum and Hilary nearly 2 hours had a :coffee: and tour went all over and mum chose her room :D

We also stopped and chatted to staff and other inmates  :rotfl::rotfl:

Mum even knows were she will be sitting for her tea on Wednesday and met the couple she will be sitting with a lovely married couple.

Mum seemed a lot happier she would have stayed ;)

Got taxi back to old care home but went in pub first  and had our dinner and mum had a pot tea she said that was 2 lovely cups she had had that day in pub and new care home :T:T:T

I have left her enough clothes in old home and fetched others home to wash even though they clean they will smell better blowing dry on the line :D

Tweets, I am so pleased for you both!

Best wishes to you and your beautiful family:T:T

I'm sure it's not too early to have a cold beer;)

tweets too.....what a relief......especially for mam. She must have been in turmoil these past few weeks wondering and worrying about her future. You've done a fantastic job sorting everything out.

I think that's the point (posted by me in a later post when I was writing about something else).

Agree about conditional spends - I tend to pass them along these days as I can never justify spending so much at once. I even have issues with the one I keep getting from the Co-op - spend £4 get 50p off

I wish they would go back to giving me 50p off specific items.

The other thing I cant figure is that in many shops I am using gift cards or credit vouchers but otherwise most of my shops are under a fiver aside from odd things like petrol, Aldi restocks, winter coal, vets bills etc
... in which case why are the credit card bills so high each month :rotfl:

You are both so right. The past 2 weeks I've spent £50 odd pounds and I actually only needed a bottle of Baileys:o

Mr TM is a nightmare in a shop. You think he never got out:rotfl: He decided for the first time ever he would like to try peanut butter after a bike ride......and then the hunt began for high carb low sugar stuff...things just keep getting added to my trolley:rotfl:

And the price of those Cycling mags:eek:

The only thing I really wanted was the Dove wash which had money back on GJ and they didn't have that in stock:o

    Lesson learnt

The stuff I really needed, I could have bought with wombles in A

Just watching the news about the fire at winter hill. There's 100 firefighters up there trying to fight it. I hope the idiot that started it gets the bill.

Its difficuit isnt it -figuring out the difference between want and need. In Home Bargains yesterday I was looking for the special fish sachets which the cats something have - they are about 60% fish, sadly still no stock. OH appeared with some hand shears - he said he wanted them for cutting back the cranesbill -for a start it would have been an impulse purchase and probably a poor quality choice bought with no research - but shears wuld be yet another bit if kit to store, clean, maintain, keep sharp ... besides which Ive already started with the big kitchen shears. And besides which OH would be complaining afterwards for days about pain in his joints. So £7 not spent and I will just get on with the cutting back as I have been.
