Someone over on another forum said that their celery did not have a best before date on in tesco today. Has their new plan started all ready. Hope not!
I hope so, dates on produce have always been superfluous, in fact I can't recall seeing dates on Lidl/Aldi produce in a long time.
I personally do not look at the dates, I go by how it looks, how it feels and how it smells.
Case in point - cheese lasts a lot longer than it says on the package, I know it lasts at least another year. I was almost in hysterics one time when I was buying brie in October off the deli counter in Ts, I said in passing that it should be just about right for Christmas, the SA was almost apoplectic, she said it would have gone off by then and be far too soft! I normally buy brie at least a pack in advance, it needs to be past it's date before it is ready :eek:What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Fabulous:T:T
Yoghurts have worked as expected:T
Thank you lovely detective ladies:p

I bought Corners today and think I was getting mixed up with another store. No new tills for us.
Our small store has had the 'upgaded' tills but the APG still wont scan!
Funny incident on Monday. I had a couple of APG's whilst passing and thought I get a few of bottles of cider ready for the weekend. Worked out that I had enough for 3 bottles and a tin of dog food, and about 14p to pay.
The SS till wouldn't accept the APG's so I was sent off to customer services with a (suspended transaction) reciept for them to scan all my shopping.
All went well until she scanned the APG's and said I hadn't spent enough!!
Till reciept said £6.56, SS till said £4.52. Weirdly knocked a bottle of cider off.
Several SA's call and then a manager was called down, nobody could work out what had gone wrong but all agreed that the 'new' system dosen't work!!
As I said earlier, I got my doggies some Yogs, paid with APG's and not one of them worked on SS.
So much for a new system. Even the SA's hate it!!!0 -
Scamps.
Is it ok to give your dog's yoghurt?
My neighbours cat always licked the lid from her yoghurt and the vet said it had caused problems with the cats teeth.curl girl with a space - even though there is no space in my cupboard!!!0 -
Thanks but i'm home now ssm.
Only stayed 3 nights, went mainly for the Open Air Theatre on Sunday night.
I fancy Beverley next time, as I noticed in one of the hotel magazines all the trendy stuff was from shops there.
One of my friends used to live there, we used to drive there early on Saturday, go to the market/shops, then wonder around the town .. well go on a pub crawl stopping for food that ended in the early hours of the morning.
We once got arrested there... well we were put in the back of the police lorry as we were all laid in the square which apparently is not a good idea for personal safety as cars drive along the square! Did they not realise we were eating cheesy chips off our chests!:D:D:D

If you are going for yoghurts, check what space you have in the fridge
.
Let's just say the salad drawer, dairy drawer, fridge door ... you get the idea.
I had forgotten we recently got the Onkens.

True....... it is a good place for a night out with the girls. That was a night to remember - somehow my dress got ripped and was only held together by the top and bottom seam.... it was a good job I had a pair of shorts on under the dress (as it was too short).... it covered my modesty!
There are also some lovely restaurants and walks in the area (if you go with your other half).100 -
... I did buy 8 packs though, so my own fault
.
Thank you NILDA.
