We agree with everything you are saying but you are wrong - your argument exactly explains why the products need store 'best before' dates so that the customer can benefit from a yellow sticker.
I am worried that Mr T dropping Brand Match will be just the excuse Mr A needs to get rid of the 10% cheaper comparison - could it be the end of the glitch as we know it? :eek:
Until you mentioned that I missed the announcement about T ending BG, thank you. I am obviously not keeping up.
It seems an odd move given how they have used it to promote how competitive they are. According to the news, they claim less than one in 8 transactions resulted in a match and they are continuing to bring prices down. You wonder if they have done research into whether having it influenced people to shop instore (normal shoppers!).
A could use it to make a marketing advantage by pushing their apg scheme again, but they will have to consider their S merger and be reviewing all aspects of the business.
