    Here's my thoughts for what it's worth:D

Eat a balanced diet.....less refined, plenty fruit and veg, do some exercise and have treats now and then.

Burn off more calories than you eat and you should be fine:)

    And plenty jacket potatoes:rotfl:

At last, a bit of common sense regarding food and weight. As you said less calories in, and burn more. Simple maths and eating well.

    :)

Finally people that get it!!! I could kiss you both.

I'm in a group related to thyroid and there are a couple of people in there spouting all sorts of nonsense :(:( Like if you want to lose weight and be healthy you have to eat high fat, low carb. Grains, sugars and any vegetables grown beneth the soil should be avoided as they are posinous to the body. We are not designed to eat grains ( oh wait so we just stopped evolving?)' Calories dont count when you eat high fat becuase it is the insulin that makes you fat not an excess of calories. One even posted a link to some Zoe Harcome woman who claims that calories in alcohol (wine ) dont count

Westie I have spoken to you before about thyroid problems, well today my endo consultant has said that I should consider having the thyroid removed and survive on thyroxine, to say I am not keen is an understatement, my dh is on thyroxine and it's awful.

I have no medical knowledge and it may affect people differently

Dh is on thyroxine and although he is often tired I see a huge improvement to the way he was years ag As you know he runs quite a bit and has a heavy manual job putting up wooden fences. So overall he!!!8217;s not too bad

    Hope you are keeping ok.
