COS - does everyone know that you get extra More points from Morrison's for the Mash direct products?
I got 2 of the Mash Direct beer battered chips (don't judge, yes its very idle but they are actually very nice :) ) this afternoon and on my receipt it says 300 more points :)

I also went to my Co-op still in search of small bags of Hippeas and by re arranging the product stand and scrabbling around at the back I found one lonesome packet - other stuff had got in front. I don't think any staff members are bothering, if the stand looks full, it does not matter what its actually full of.
And I do seem to be the only person buying them so I've made a big space so next time someone might have filled the gap in with hippeas.

But that one pack and the mash direct at least has meant that I am now over the twenty pound mark for withdrawing :T

    what temperatures have you got?

Eldest child and her OH are off to Thailand this month - I don't think either of them have the ability to withstand the high temperatures ... they suffered last year on a long weekend in Spain!

Good morning all, what a grey day.

As for Michael McIntyre being robbed, has it occurred to you BH that he was probably picked on BECAUSE of who he is? He gives a lot of joy to a lot of people, why should he not have a nice watch if he can afford it? It's not as if he doesn't do charity work too!

Would you think the same about all those overpaid footballers?

If people earn money let them spend it on what they want.

The trouble is when you are in the public domain you are a bit of a target for thieves - it comes with the territory.
I imagine though high value items are insured so its just a case of the annoyance of putting a claim in.

I think people like collecting different things - for some its handbags or shoes and for some its jewellery or watches or even cars or art - one mans meat is another's poison.

For some its vanity, for some its a need to impress others or to create envy and for some for some its just an obsessive collecting urge.

My OH has a thing about watches which I've managed to quall with logic and reason - you can only wear one watch at a time and there is a finite limit to the number of arms a human can have. He has a Mr T watch bought from Goldsmiths in the good old days when CC points were plentiful, work issue watches and one normal one from Sainsburys which is easy to alter when we are on holiday and we keep going through different time zones.

Poor soul had his watch stolen. allegedly worth between £5k and £15k. Newsworthy because "he" was robbed A tenth of that money would have put a lot of us in financial distress.

Could someone explain to me why people buy these sort of things, to me a watch is for telling the time. Bought mine 10 years ago with clubcard points at Goldies, £100 would have been the cash price. It is solar and , well, tells the time. Is it vanity or is it wanting others to be envious? I lack understanding of how people think, but have a strong regard for social justice. Could anyone here walk down the street wearing such a watch and see people who are obviously in need?

End of wee rant. Will check Son offer later in the morning.

    Morning all :)

Tried to pay my Amex bill the other day and got a message saying it had not been possible to complete the transaction and to try again. So I tried again and it went through ok the second time. Checked my bank account this morning and it has gone through twice
More crap to deal with

    Infuriating

I've got direct debits to pay my credit card bills but they take the money so early I often wonder if I should really just pay the bills manually when they are due myself - not sure if I trust myself to do this though, life gets frantic and its another set of things to remember to do.

It was Mhoc, I have been looking at the Art one and the international ones... it is flipping confusing but I will get my head around it. x

Because of OHs advanced age and decrepitude I managed to convince NT that we were eligible for NT senior rates so I just pay £7.20 a month now - we have about 6 around us within about an hours drive and there is always some event or other going on plus its good for OH when I manage to drag him away from the stresses of work ...
