I imagine though high value items are insured so its just a case of the annoyance of putting a claim in.

OK, I admit it, I do not know how many watches I have :o

I do only have a couple of decent ones though (Goldsmiths cc points) but I just like watches.

Quite possibly. He has shown some family snaps and I think on his off duty times when he is just home with the kids I think he probably just looks like a normal average bloke.

But which is more likely to spike the interest of the average thief - the range rover or the big watch.

Possibly not the big watch - endless imports from the far east look very similar at first glance. Def I think the range rover, very much status symbols still - but the watch is far easier to pinch ...

Glitch on Muller - receipt dated today:D - they bought 10 for £3 but full price A. Best comp. vs M on this:

10x Muller Corner Vanilla Yogurt with Chocolate Digestive Biscuits (135g) £6.80 £4.00

That's all I know. It's the only one they bought.
So, it looks like 'better than free' on this one - pay £3 then £3.20 back. N.I. vs S at £5 but not better than free.

First time I've seen an M mbuy picked up on ten.
I thought it was 8 for £4 on Mullers at M, not 10 for £4:think:. However, I'm out of the loop. There seemed only a few items due to expire by yesterday in M. Although last time that happened there were in fact more items whose prices changed than that would suggest, I still decided not to bother with M but instead to pick them up tomorrow and I didn't need to go to M in any event. I am now to add today's "due to have expired by Wednesday" to what was due to have expired by yesterday and then make a decision, depending on what items those turn out to be, whether it will be a wider collection day or just my normal stores again tomorrow.

I thought this receipt would stand no chance as they bought 10 for £3 and it would lose out vs everywhere. I noticed they had bought 10 all the same and thought they should only do that if it was a 12 for £3 offer, not 10 for £3:mad:. How wrong I was as A appears at full price - this has made a difference here, transforming a "that's unusual, we actually were more than 10% cheaper this time":( into a "Hooray! We're not 10% cheaper!":j and a voucher for £3.66. Or something like that:rotfl:.

    Infuriating

I've got direct debits to pay my credit card bills but they take the money so early I often wonder if I should really just pay the bills manually when they are due myself - not sure if I trust myself to do this though, life gets frantic and its another set of things to remember to do.

I always set up a forward payment for the whole amount, as soon as I receive the statement, to go out a couple of days before the due date

I do the same, get the statement and check it, then set up the payment through my bank account. I have two reminders set up so I then double check my payment is due on the right day, but I do tend to do it for the day it is due and not had a problem doing that yet.
