Thanks for the insight. Hope all was well with you.
Fine thanks, I keep taking the tablets, but they do make me thirsty in the night.

Not sure I will be able to relax on this one though, I was first told it might be necessary about 15 years ago. :o

I am usually really good with any tests etc but I have a terrible gag reflex, I am really really nervous about it.
I bluddy hated it, and gagged for England, I had someone holding my hand and comforting/encouraging me, so its commonplace for most to struggle.
Just make sure you get a morning appointment.
'Cos its the same piece of kit they shove up the other end, usually in the afternoons.

Outdoor Pool - I'm sure I saw this on TV recently. Has there been a documentary about it in the last few weeks? Not that I am aware of but it has been featured in past years

This explains why you used to honk in your speedos some mornings.
I told you not to mention this:o

Oh I miss those salad mountain days:smileyhea:smileyhea:smileyhea
    I don't:D

So we went to give blood this afternoon.

They take a tiny drop from your finger end and drop it into a test tube of blue solution. Its supposed to drop like a stone. Mine didn't though so the chap did the test again. It still didn't drop.

Then off we went to do another test in a corner where they take a drop from your non leading arm and put it on a slide and insert it into a reader. It has to read over a certain level and I was slightly below - 117 - so officially I didn't have enough iron.

So I was suspended today and couldn't give blood :(

Very disappointed with myself - I've been drinking lots of water today to make sure I wasn't dehydrated as I know this can affect things. And generally eating very well - lots of salad with meat and I even chop prunes onto salad. I also like very dark chocolate which is supposed to have a lot of iron.

    Booked again for September.

I went to donate yesterday too - I seem to be copying others on here at the moment:think:

Mine was delayed as they didn't know if Dubai caused any restriction and the computer was not working at the time. Kept me waiting for about half an hour but eventually took it:T
Donation number 92, makes me feel ancient. Wifey has same problem as you and has never been able to donate since having the children. Hope it gets sorted for you, you seem to look after yourself so there shouldn't be a problem.
My problem is drinking so much water beforehand, and whilst there, after donating it means there are several bathroom trips for the rest of the day:rotfl:. Probably just an age thing! I walked to the Hall yesterday and virtually had to run the last few yards home:o

We needed to have one of our granite worktops recut and had an eye watering quote from a kitchen company.

I had a brilliant lightbulb moment and remembered a small family run stonemason I pass on the way to work. They make memorials and gravestones....a well respected family business.

I picked the worktop up today and it is perfect plus a worktop saver, beautifully edged and polished for the total price of £50:T

    Lateral thinking meets money saving:D

    Excellent :D :T

I tend to go via FB and messenger, usually very quick and straight forward - you need your booking ref number, start point, nectar card number, email address, DOB ... I tend to copy and paste these details now straight onto the google calendar for a months time to remind me to see if they have been added.

When I checked earlier this week the points for the most recent trip had been added - 700 points but then I noticed that the late March one hadn't gone on so I went via messenger and about half an hour later after a nice chat with my new best friend Courtney, 600 points were added on :T

    Good morning from sunny Cumbria!

Thanks Mhoc. That is so helpful. Searched the inbox yesterday and there is another missing so 2000 points to chase! I spent points on fuel yesterday to celebrate! I keep saving them for double up and then cannot find anything useful so have decided to use some up.

Tu clothing is 25% off at present. Yesterday I was wearing a summer dress bought last year so hoping it stays that way during the 10x points promotion at the weekend.
