Elite 11+ shopping and chat thread part 2½

I have looked in M, ahead of what is supposed to be the proper check on Wednesday. I am not seeing much change in my store, although, with only one store, I am seeing a fraction of the items and of those it seems many are remaining the same prices. The wines look like they are remaining the same for now (some of the offers are due to end in M tomorrow?) - I picked a different start (and this time, end) store so it looks like I have the correct price on the Freixenet rather than the incorrect £12 full price SEL - however, who knows if it's changed today and my store has yet to update the SEL? It looks like it is staying at £9 today though. The lack of shelf change (in what seems to be a "correct price store" on the wine shelving) does mean that I have the Villa Maria remaining at £9.50 - it may well change to that on the APG soon which seems to have an incorrect £6 price at the moment. (It could be that more stores, that hadn't changed to £9.50 when the price collectors visited last time, are likely to have done so now and could mean £9.50 becomes the most common APG price and overrules the £6, if they have that unchanged a week on now in any of their stores. It's quite possible for a rare SEL to be unchanged for several months in a store if it was missed at the beginning.)

It looks to me that the 150g Tuc Crackers and Cheddar Cheese Biscuits etc. are still 50p instore, although I'm looking at one store and it could be one where they haven't changed the SELs yet. To me, though, I think they are probably still 50p. The 550g M pies look like they are off and online has changed to the higher price. I am back to having trouble again on the 9 slice Garlic Baguettes/Eat Smart Garlic Baguettes as my store now has full price on the SEL - I now see that online is still on £1 and on balance I am keeping them on - this could change though when I see more stores on Wednesday. I also have the Quorn fresh Picnic Eggs and Cocktail Sausages with full price SELs although it seems they might still be on. I would not like to say whether the Large Pork Pie and Gala Pork and Egg Pie were still on £1 or not - they could be full price today but again that is now unclear for me until Wednesday seeks clarity.

The Alpro chilled drinks are full price online - it looks like my £1 SELs OOS store is showing £1 because it doesn't have them in stock and the Nestle Milkybar and Rolo desserts look like they are now full price. I suspect the individual Curly Wurly is still on 4 for £1: although I don't have it in this store, the offer looks still to be on as other items in the offer are there and still have 4 for £1 showing.

Carling Zest Citrus - looks like it will go from £2.45 to £2.60 M.

I had a cursory glance at the 500ml alcohol bottles and it doesn't look like anything has changed there - this will be more fully checked on Wednesday. However, I also caught a glance of the Carling Zest Citrus elsewhere in the aisle and I very strongly think that it has gone from £2.45 to £2.60 because my store, which has been showing £2.45, is now showing £2.60. So that does appear very clearly to be a change, putting it at its most cautious and seeking evidence, before concluding anything at all, on every minor point of detail again:rotfl:.

It may be last chance soon on the Carling Zest Citrus against £2.45 price. However, a pattern on a small number of items recently on the APG has seemed to be to change to the new higher price and then go back to the previous price next time the following week. This could be because of unchanged SELs and things being finely balanced the time when it got the higher price but a single store remaining at the now seemingly incorrect £2.45 could upset the balance and put it back to that price if another place that now has £2.60 later goes no trace. You may expect stores generally to change to the correct price over more time - however, I don't know. I think it's probably likely but the APG has seemed to go back a week on some different items in recent weeks, having initially changed to a higher price - and despite no change back in M (maybe my stores are now all wrong?, who knows?). I think it'll probably get £2.60 next time and remain at that. And, as M is significantly "underpriced", it's possible this could be the first of a small number of price increases on this item for them to 'catch up' to the higher price of their competitors without their customers generally noticing it too much.

It may be going up to £2.60 soon on the APG and may stay at that if M keeps at £2.60 from now on, and elsewhere the Polony 150g now seems to have gone from 54p to 58p in M on this incomplete check (all of them are incomplete to some extent as I never find every item I have the next time, but this obviously nowhere near getting what I normally get but an initial look - I looked at most of the SP-equivalent range to see if any price changes there but it seems things have stayed the same).

I would have suggested that they add a sign on the cash machine saying that they don't accept the coupons the atm is giving out.

Can't help with the insurance, but Cuba is amazing and very relaxing.

How soon are you going and does your doctor know? Just that whilst we did not see the hospitals over there, i would certainly make sure they had any facilities you may need.
