There are quite a few travel insurance companies that cover people with existing medical conditions - try to get quotes from Staysure, saga, Aviva, LV ...
You firstly have to decide if you are going to do more than one holiday in the next 12 months - if so you need annual cover.
Also tell them you are going to Cuba so you will need worldwide cover.
Yes they do ask a lot of questions on the phone and you do have to be honest with them, if not your insurance could be invalid or the cover not what you need.
You do have your docs permission to travel I assume?“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Malc from Eon - I am trying to give my first metre readings this morning. I tried twitter and got no response. I tried ringing and I got put on hold. After a bit of a wait I got to the chat page and the chap told me that your website is having issues today.
This explains why I could not get to my online account. I am registered but it was refusing to accept my details. I tried to change my password and that didn't work either and I went round in circles and got nowhere.
The chap on chat took my readings and said he would put them onto the account tomorrow when hopefully everything will be working again so I've got to rely on him doing this.
When we first switched to Scottish Power the night and day readings were switched around and it took several phone calls before I found someone who understood the problem and got it all sorted out so that is what I am worried will happen again this time.
My other worry is that my old Scottish Power account was about £30 in credit but what happens if the latest readings put it into debit - can I still switch with a debit reading?
Might give Scottish Power a ring later to see if they will take a payment over the phone, as a just incaseHello mhoc and welcome to E.ON. Good to have you on board.
Those figures are staggering. Something definitely awry there. Have we based these amounts on the usage entered on the switching site?
Sorry if you already know this but thought I'd pop a bit of information on here about your switch and what to expect. They usually go through in about two and half weeks. As the gaining supplier, we'll look after this and contact you just before the switch completes to ask for meter readings. We'll use these to open your account and send them to your old supplier so they can use the same readings to close their account. This stops the same energy from being charged twice.
The readings go through a third party (Data Collector) who checks they're in line with previous readings held for the property. We also let other industry third parties know about the change. These include the energy distributors, meter operators/readers and the national databases that log details of all energy meters in the country. This is all done via a series of electronic messages. This won't hold up the actual switch and the start date will be as we advise. It may, though, have an impact on when accounts are fully live (new supplier) or closed (old supplier).
If you register with our website, you can see how things are going through the 'Track My Switch' service.
Hope this is of interest mhoc and sorry again if you already know this stuff. You know where I am if you need any more details. Have a good weekend and hope the bad weather hasn't caused you too much hardship.

Massive scaffold with plastic sheeting has gone up on a house over the road this weekend in readiness for a loft conversion. Not sure I would want my roof coming off in this weather
We have had four in our street this winter, the plastic sometimes comes away when its windy and another point we are pondering - where do they get the money ?0
