I went out as I want to make use of my AP. Late to the party on that one 2x £10 dining out cards and a free coke.
Dh cleared some stuff from the cupboard and they are bagged at the front door for the food bank. A fair bit of custard and rice. I love a good clear out.0 -
Todays shop - I had a car park 50p voucher plus a wombled voucher and my own from a weekend shop so an acceptable final total
OH insisted on coming with me today as he wanted sweet chilli sauce - sure its cheaper elsewhere.
Our store still hasn't re-stocked the propercorn sweet and salty
And still no Iams 800g either
The pizza and chips were good fillers - plus the chips are also on the TCB grocery cashback last
Otherwise all good - cleaner out and re organised the tins shelf this morning, muckier than I thought it would be and also did the under stairs cupboard so plenty of room for more cans (also found lurking on a forgotten shelf 4 forgotten boxes of cat sachets, 48 in total I got when A had them RTC - even better!)

A cheeky question! Any elite live near the A1(M) and know if there's cheap petrol stations (e.g. supermarket petrol stations ) open on Tuesday and v. close to the motorway? I know plenty of cheap refueling places on the west side of England, but less sure of the east side.
Edit: looking for petrol anywhere between Northumbria and say Peterborough but ideally a supermarket or anywhere cheap.
Asda at Grantham is £114.7 pl.
Just one mile from the A1 (if you take the right junction)
A Store just over the road so you would probably have time for a quick womble there to break the journey;)
About 20 miles North of P'boro.

The honey, sugar and marmalade glaze was bubbling away - and I put my finger in it to test - it stuck to my finger in a molten mass - ouchy ouch
My first burn of 2018
You are first on the burns list
Did you stick finger in mouth quick ?
Hope you didn't burn your mouth if you did0 -

Tweets, did you see on the news last night that Dubai did a lovly display of lighting the tallest building, and China released balloons. Isn't that so much better then fireworks. I've signed petitions to ban fireworks as so many animals are frightened by the noise. I live near a vet hospital and I always think of the poor animals there. :A
Hope next year brings some more restrictions on letting off fireworks.
That would be brilliant or even letting off silent fireworks.
I have signed the petition in November banning them.
I am just hoping there is no more tonight.
Poppy been asleep most of today.0 -
Happy new year everyone
Really sorry to read about Sal. Such a kind lady who had time to help everyone. I've donated to your page TM
Did a yog and a Heinz shop today. Both worked well.

Good afternoon and happy new year everyone:D
My resolution for the year will try to be to contribute (even if only a little more:o)
My husband and I are looking to get a tighter reign on our finances, as this year we want to look in to fostering, and ideally I would like to quit my job - I [STRIKE]hate[/STRIKE] get no job satisfaction and would rather do something that would be much more rewarding. I was wondering whether there are any foster carers out there who could give us some insight? I/We feel like we are good parents, we have our priorities right - (the only downside is that I do smoke, but have never smoked in my house or car) and I would never put smoking against something my kids might want or need. We are not 'old' 39 and 37 (I have a toyboy:eek:) DSS is off to uni next year and oldest DS is living with my Mum because he thinks she's lonely:rotfl:, we will have 2 spare bedrooms and 2DS's and a DD still at home.
Could anyone give me an insight as to what I could be letting myself in for? or whether we would even be approved?
Thanking you in advance:D0 -
