For those members who really aren’t well or who are low for whatever reason, take great care of yourselves, and here’s hoping these {{{{HUGS}}}} from us all will help you feel well soon. :kisses3:
A lovely gold star for you 3forholidays for the lovely welcome, many thanks. :staradmin

What a terrific amount potted siju, very well done!!! :j

So sorry to hear your sad news, jakes-mum. Re your purse and hubby’s wallet though, yes, I think they should definitely be wherever you are! That way there’s no possibility of the wrong person ending up with the blame. Though I understand you and your feelings I just hope young Jake’s not taking the fall for someone else’s greed, especially given the time of year.
I’m pleased you all enjoyed a lovely meal together! :D

10p is a good find Iheart, well spotted!! Plus your latest addition - brilliant work!! :D Warming up a tad now and a cloudy night so no sudden drop in temperatures!

Not long at all 32b3!!! I love Grand Total day! Lovely to know you too have enjoyed a lovely meal out. Great potting as ever! :j

More for your pot then, adventureofmemories, a lovely sum too!! :T

So sorry about your loss of all that money, Vicky, yet it seems so wrong when the Aer Lingus folk were treated so well! Life ain’t always fair sadly!

It sounds as though it was a happy release for your dear Grandmother, but still a shock nonetheless.
Even though your hubby’s pockets were empty at least you’ve still saved some cash, better luck next time!! ;)

Very wise and well done Florence! :D I always think the thought of a surprise amount aids us on to save more than maybe we otherwise would do.

Likewise to you also motivated, and well done! :D

You’re doing very well indeed so far, Dragon Lily! It’s wonderful to hear that hubby’s helping you build it up too, he can obviously see the benefits! :j

You’ve been doing really well too MrsShazbat!!! Plus Quidco is building up nicely!

Good to see you mummytummy, no doubt your household is full of excitement right now too!

Fantastic DancingUnicorn, you’re doing incredibly well so far, very well done you!!!! :j Have a delicious early Christmas tomorrow, but who makes jam this time of year??!!!

Not long to go now folks, but long enough to still enjoy the anticipation of it all!! A £5er potted which I’m pleased about as it’s a £5er more than I’d thought!! :D
I’m absolutely chuffed to bits that Joe McFaddyn won Strictly Come Dancing!!!! :j:T:T:j By golly haven't those competitors been a-ma-zing though!!

Have a lovely Sunday, folks! Don’t forget .... pot if you're able!

  • Hi, I'm getting into the habit of putting all my spare coins into my pot, so far have approx. £4 but will probably stop counting as I would like it to be a surprise when I come to the end of the year.... Thanks for organising it all!
    Sealed pot challenge - 12 - #004

  • Another £7 and some silver and coppers in today. Nan gave us £20 for some tea - decided on McDonald’s and potted the rest.
I’m not sure why but people have started asking for my jam as gifts throughout the year as they like it so much. I stocked up and froze fruit to have enough for Christmas!

Sorry been MIA but rather too much RL happening atm.

Firstly we had a lovely holiday in Valencia. It's such a beautiful city and full of wonderful architecture, green parks, cafes, bars and markets. Weather not too bad for time of year, with just one day of drizzle and lots of sunshine. Bit cold at times though.

Whilst away on hols DH had a telephone call from work telling him the company had gone into administration and he was therefore redundant with immediate effect  So we have had to do quite a bit of ferreting about and filling in of forms to do with that.

Our new windows were put in all through the apartment Friday last week, with all the furniture having to be moved around to allow access. The painters came on Monday and then I've spent all week clearing up all the gritty mess left behind.

So, that's £20 in my pot for the last couple of weeks. Hope you all staying warm and dry and have a good week

So sorry to hear about your husband’s job lynnejk. :(

Rugby again today. Only managed to pick up one stray cup (so that’s £1 for the pot!). DH has been rather careless again and so £1.10 of his made its way too. :D

Dreadful news to receive on your holidays lynnejk. I hope something else comes along quickly.

A mixed up week for me this week. Looking forward to 2 Christmas parties but also have to attend 2 funerals - emotions running high I think. Ah well, c'est la vie! :grouphug:

On a very positive note, I have £9.87 to pot today. :j

Sorry to hear of your husbands job Lynnejk, hopefully something better will appear quickly on the horizon for him.

Ahh Sue, DS was warned many times over the years that the day would come when he would need us to believe him and his propensity to tell fibs would stop us doing so, that day has come and tbh, with the amount of times he has helped himself over the years i'm pretty sure, even if this one time it was not him, he will still owe me a lot more than what he has to pay back for his mates theft :(

Following on from that rubbish news, have been to the post office today after having spent the last 6 days checking the tracking on MIL's christmas parcel that was dropped off for parcelf0rce last tuesday to find it was still sat behind their counter. Looks like they never bothered to hand it too the driver (or the driver has not been to collect in 6 days! ) fed a load of bull about how the driver collected it and returned it back to them . . yet the parcel never got updated as collected . . . so I have had to bring it back home and resend it through another courier on 24 hr and hope it gets collected and delivered in time :(

on potting news, i have 2 x £2 coins and some silver for the pots
