Still waiting for the last of the coffee to be used so I can pinch te pot and seal it up.
So far managing to resist dipping in to the pot for parking money...
And there was a ten pounds note on my desk for ages that I'd forgotten about so popped that in as well!Sealed pot challenge 11: number 5940 -
Thank you for the star sue! (I’ll add it when I next come online on the laptop).
Started the Christmas shopping this weekend so had my first dip into last years SPC. Don’t actually have too much left to buy so I’m hoping I might have a little leftover to treat myself!
Few coppers and silvers into the pot this week - hopefully no more spends before Saturday then I can put what’s left of my weekly allowance in.
It’s a slow start this year but I’m determined to reach that goal!LBM: October 2016: £20,130 / Current: May 2019: £12,576 37.53%DFD: [STRIKE]February 2024[/STRIKE] April 2022?0 -

Afternoon Potters, I hope you are all staying warm and dry - the weather is awful here at the moment
I asked DH for some cash today as I intended to put everything in my purse into my SP - 1 x £5 note and some change. He gave me another fiver :T plus some extra notes. He was quite taken aback by how excited I was to receive a £5 note :rotfl:

Very good morning to you all SPCers! I hope you all had a really smashing weekend and are now off to a good start on the week ahead.
For all our members feeling poorly or a little down in the dumps whatever the reason; here are loving SPC {{{{hugs}}}} from us all in the hope you will soon be back to normal! :grinheart
Great savings adventureofmemories! Some very wise ways of shopping too!!!Really pleased to hear about your frame being finished and I can’t say I blame for not wanting to put shrapnel into it!
Oh dear, dear, dear Vicky, very lax of your DH, and even if he remembers these mishaps you can always tell him you’ve potted it to save it being lost!!!!!
Excellent work with the discovery of a book at your library you’d otherwise have thrown money at on Amazon!!!! I love it when it’s a [STRIKE]finger[/STRIKE]to the big boys!!! :j:j (Behave Sue for goodness sake!) Brilliant potting Vicky!!!
That’s just marvellous to hear 32b3!! Shopping is a sort of R&R though whichever way you look at it.So pleased you enjoyed yourself. Fantastic potting too!!!
Very well done MrsShazbat...
.... you too Florence!
As time goes by you’ll soon forget the amount you’ve saved, arc2014 - excellent potting, though I’d hate to think how much you possibly spent in order to get THAT MUCH!!!!! It’s great to know that the iffy £70 finally came in useful for you with moving!!
Very well saved indigowarrior!!!! Come and see us more often ... PLEASE?!!#36 joining again for 2018 SPC 11.
I didn't have a massive total last year, but here goes again for 2018. Anything's better than nothing! Well done to all of the lovely potters with massive savings totals. I am in awe
I understand what you mean about the big savings of a lot of SPCers, chickadee, but we don’t all have the money to be able to save in such a way! However, if you’re able to save more in future then really motivate yourself to get the incentive to do so!!!!As you rightly said though..... ANYTHING’S BETTER THAN NOTHING!!!!!! Be proud of whatever you’re able to save!
How very honest of your DD in giving back the unspent cash, helsbell! :A That was lovely to read! We potted too!!!
Very well done in resisting the temptation to use any of your savings, katiepants!!! :T It sounds as though you’ve quite a bit waiting for the coffee pot, great work!!!!
You’re most welcome DancingUnicorn, it’s a huge help to me if members welcome on our new friends - lovely for them too!
If you don’t need all your last year’s SPC savings, then enjoy it wisely.Good luck with your Target, and remember... determination alone will achieve great things!!!

Well done in saving money you didn’t need to spend Antomac!!!
That’s quite understandable about the outer areas of Sidmouth, I was mainly only reminiscing whilst rambling on!
Re the amount of new members that have joined us on SPC 11, it’s never easy to know due to older members either not returning. Also members that signed up last year so often get carried away with the excitement of us all declaring and them joining that so they then lose it throughout the year and never return!
In which case I then have to pop new members onto deserted numbers and so often the same thing happens again next year!! I watch the folk who join then come on and join in the chat - those are true SPCers!!!! :j It doesn’t always turn out that way but mostly.
Thanks so much for the interest Ant, that alone says a lot to me!
You and your veerryy comfy sofa, Saver-upper! Tis a wonder you’re ever off of it!!! Some well potted treasures!!!
You oh so crafty devil jakes-mum!!!I’ll bet you’ll have many a happy hour on that machine!! Enjoy yourself, yes I know you will! What a cracking amount you managed to pot today too, brilliant!!!!
It sounds really miserable where you're, siju! It’s been so cloudy here today but no rain forecast until through the night and tomorrow. Still, it seems as though you’re all cheery despite the weather with all that potted cash!!!! :jGreat going for your hubby!!!!!!
Sue xx

Nothing to report today but
The money will be going towards my emergency fund and a new home instead of our wedding.
Our washing machine broke and we got a new one coming this week but I now owe my fiance £350. £160 for half of the tv and £199ish for the washing machine (agreed by both and I said I'd pay him fully for the new washing machine - I wasn't forced or put in the position to incase anyone got the wrong idea.)
We're putting the wedding on hold as after tonight I realised that having money behind me for emergency and for getting a better home is more important than a bit of paper and a bit of metal and a party for everyone else . We know we love each other and for now it's good enough for us to just be engaged.

Just realised I've forgotten to count in some eB*y sales. Hold please...
So far, another £53.95 to count from eB*y, and £51.59 on my Quidco which again I'm allowing to mount up.SPCNo.18 #20 (17 £562.86 16 £678; 15 £1120.92; 14 £416.53; 13 £191.52; 12 £260.48; 11 £480.95; 10 £682.31; 9 £442.64)
