Morning potters, still potting away, heat is absolutely destroying me :( I have been hidden in the house for the last week, even trying to peg out my washing was causing me problems. My vitamin D levels are really low so i'm on double dose tablets (they wanted me on 4x but they give me terrible migraines) i'm so annoyed, the sun is right there! but I can't sit in it to boost my Vit D! anyone know where I can part ex this body for a new one? :rotfl:

Gotta go to £land today so hopefully a few pennies for the pot when I get home. Have a sunshine filled day everyone

Welcome to our thread Omg7kdebt. Our lovely leader will visit shortly to issue you with your own SPC number. In the meantime, make sure to read through the instructions on the first page. It sounds as if you are off to a good start, happy potting :)

Haven't potted much lately as I've been cruising the Fjords in Norway and dancing with Anton Du Beke in Coventry! Feet are firmly on the ground now though and it's all back to the grindstone. I have £3.74 to pot today. Enjoy the weather potters. :)

    Hi
I have always been a big user of a change pot but usually crack it open every couple of months to pay for a treat. However this year I am on maternity leave (due Monday!) so there will be less time and money for treats and it would be really useful to have some extra cash for Christmas. If it's not too late I would love to join.

Ooh katsoocam a very big welcome. I hope your little one won't keep you waiting too long in this heat! Sue, our esteemed leader, will be along to give you your SPC number but until then, please read through her post at the start of the challenge.

Nothing to pot today but will be calling at the supermarket on the way home so hopefully will have something to pot then.:)

Found 6p in my desk drawer today! - have not put anything else in for a couple of days but on the upside, I've not really spent anything either so I'll take that.
Hoping to get change out of a tenner for a Friday night out tomorrow (I cant believe I'm saying that, getting change out of £50 was unlikely a few short weeks ago) and I'm looking forward to adding to my tin.

We always empty our pots and declare our savings in November, please make a note of this year's date: 1st Nov 2018.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. wink.gif

*Please everyone:pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps me.

Hello, my number is 45, it should already be in my signature, I can see it?

    Thank you

Many thanks for the great welcomes, siju, here are another couple of gold stars for your signauture. :staradmin:staradmin I hope you had a marvelous time cruising in Norway, it always sounds amazing! :D Good potting btw.

Thanks a lot twigletsmum, blowed if I could see your No on your sig though  maybe it was the colour text.

Thanks so much for your lovely words, Saver-upper, whilst we have this heat I fully intend to stay in and may even have to force myself to watch Wimbledon! ;););) Good potting.

You have my sympathy with the weight-loss battle, dustydigger, as it's so hard if you have a thyroid problem; I have an under-active thyroid (hypothyroidism). I manage to keep mine down due to walking between 4 - 6 miles per day, but it works. Congatulations on the amazing amount you lost and good luck from here on!! :T

Hi jakes-mum! So you're another sufferer of this blessed heat too then as well as having low vitamin D levels. Mine have been really low due to my other drugs, but I'm now on a double daily amount and beginning to feel the benefits. Just a few moments in the sun each day will help boost you.

BTW folks. If any of you are thinking about getting new pots from £land for next year then why not pop on down before the close and get them for half price.

All the very best with your baby's birth, katsoocam, it must be awful for you right now with this heat so let's hope he or she is on time! Please let us know of the arrival....before you're out of the theatre if you don't mind! :rotfl:

NB. Please could you all make sure your Nos are on your siggys please. Thanks a lot.

Well done, Littlebigmoose, that 40p is far better off in you pot than staying in the car, especially as someone else might have spotted if first!! ;)

    Very well done KONG!!

Good work with the 6p, Omg7kdebt, and fingers crossed with that change you're hoping for!

A £10er has gone in the pot for me, chuffed with that.

    Sue xx

Good work with the challenge over the last couple of days; underspent my budget on a work night out so managed to put over 6 pounds in from that, and found some foreign currency in a dresser drawer. #12.51 not enough to do anything else with so in went :)

I am indeed Sue, hate the cold, hate the heat, am only happy in the spring and autumn, but we seem to have completely bypassed spring this year! I was talked into buying a hot tub yesterday, a flippin hot tub! its like 700 degrees out there, lets buy a hot tub! DH and DD were in it last night very happy. I suppose sitting in the water in the evening might make it bearable to obtain some of that sunshine without feeling like i'm about to pass out :o

Welcome Omg7kdebt! You are off to a cracking start :D keep going! its very addictive

Welcome also Katsoocam, ohhhh I feel for you right now! I had my DS in the summer of 2001 when we had that awful heatwave, so very hot all the time! I did better with DD, she was born in January :rotfl: I highly recommend pregnancy in the winter :rotfl:

DH went off to the pub on friday and brought me back £7 odd in change to swap for a £10 note  robbed again I was! saw some silver on his bedside table when I went upstairs and nicked that too, made the swap feel slightly more fair :rotfl: I am feeling very unhappy! where are all the £2 coins? my poor £2 coin tin is only about a quarter full :( it needs friends!

Right off to sort out DD and possibly iron :( I keep looking at the pile and groaning but I think it might now be at the stage that I need to tackle it as its not so much being piled in the basket as now each item gets precariously perched with a prayer it doesn't slide off the mountain.
