I'll not be joining the size 16 club for a while yet, but it is nice to see the numbers go down. My new skirts are size 20, and my new coat is a size 22. Considerably better than the size 28's I was in a year ago.Zebras rock0

That's an amazing achievement in a year! You should be so proud! :T0 -

Quite a lot is down to being ill. The thing is, I don't think I look any thinner. I still look in the mirror and see the same really fat person looking back
At what point have people started to feel thinner, or look thinner to themselves?Zebras rock0 -

Have you got any photos of yourself ? I took a selfie in a full length mirror when I started SW a couple of months ago, and I'm going to try to take one every six months or so, when I'll hopefully notice a difference. I'm size 28 at the moment so a VERY long way to go....
I think when you see yourself every day you don't notice a difference - it;s only when you comare photos or bump into someone who hasn't seen you for a while and comments that you'll notice. But the fact that you've gone down several dress sizes shows that you are losing.0 -
Will let you into a secret.
I just feel fat & frumpy & yuk.
Doesent make any difference if I am a 16, 14 or whatever.
I have such dire legs whatever I weigh.

I avoid photos as much as I can. I have a few photos from over the years, but none of me last Christmas just before I joined.
I did measure my chest, waist and hips when I started, and have done at intervals, and I know I am thinner, but I don't know it.
I know that doesn't make sense, but I think you lot probably get it.
And agree Beanie, I think as females we generally have pretty poor body image, and feel we don't look great even if we are stunning (which I'm sure you are)Zebras rock0 -
Well done to all this week. I was weighed last night after a two week hiatus and I'd gained 2lbs. I was totally expecting the gain and I took it on the chin and stayed for group.
I've got a busy few weeks coming up as I'm off to Morocco on Friday, and I can't see any losses until January now. I'm going to go to the gym whilst I'm there and try to fill up on lovely speed foods. I'm 4lbs from my target weight of 10st and I really, really want to get there now!0 -

Others tell me I look thinner - I'm not sure (even though the scales and my clothes say I am.) I kept one photo from my fatter days as I avoided them wherever possible and I've got a Before and After file on the laptop with that photo and one other in it so far. I can see the difference in the photos but not in real life. I know I'm getting on for 3 sizes smaller (bordering 20 to 14-16) but I still pick up 18s first in shops. Today I'm wearing an 18 tshirt, a 16 cardi, jeans I think are a 16 but too big with a belt on its smallest hole to hold them up. I think it'll take a while for me to dress for my new shape.
Ended up yesterday not going to the party so no buffet and no alcohol! Had my speedy bolognese with veg left over from the previous day so a very speedy tea. Slept in this am ,so..
Today
B/L Bacon and mushroom sandwich, 2 small slices WM bread
About to go out so will take some fruit and an Alpen Light
D Chicken wrapped in bacon, various veg
Well done recent losers and congrats Sunshinemummy. Special well done Beanie and MrsR both at/ exceeded target!0 -
